HELP TO SPREAD THE MUSIC! Music & Memory is a non-profit organization that uses iPod-based personalized playlists to reconnect elders to the world around them through their favorite music. It is scientifically proven that our brains connect music with personal memories. When these personalized playlists are played for people with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, the person becomes more social, active and has a better quality of life.
Three Ways to Help: • Donate a gently used iPod Nano/Shuffle/Touch, iPhone or iPad • Donate $49 to purchase a new iPod Shuffle • Donate an iTunes gift card
The iPods, iPhones, iPads and iTunes gift cards that are collected will be donated to a Music & Memory Certified Care Facility where the iPods will be wiped clean of any data or music, restored to factory settings and then personalized to help heal through the power of music. The gift cards will be used to purchase songs from iTunes. Donations will be accepted until March 25th, 2016 in the Main Office at EMS. For more information, please visit www.musicandmemory.org
