IPODS and PHONES Students are allowed to use IPOD and PHONES in AIRPLANE MODE to help them concentrate and block out excess noise. Downloading of music has to be done outside school hours. The rules for IPOD AND PHONE usage are as follows: • • • • • • • • • • Students are only allowed to use their IPODs AND PHONES while sitting and working. Absolutely NO talking allowed while using IPODS AND PHONES. Both headphones must be in while the IPOD AND PHONE is in use. IPODS AND PHONES must be stopped, taken out, and put away when the student gets up to do anything. No IPODS AND PHONES outside of the classroom. When not in use, the IPOD AND PHONE needs to be stored in the student’s backpack. Electronics found outside without being used will be placed in the teachers desk until the end of the schoolday. Volume must be kept at a moderate level so as not to distract anyone. Students cannot continuously manage the IPOD AND PHONE – students need to pick a Playlist, hit Play, and put the IPOD AND PHONE in their pocket. On the first infraction of these rules, the student must place the IPOD AND PHONE on the guides’ desk until the end of the day. On the next infraction, the student loses the IPOD AND PHONE privilege until further notice. Teachers will continuously monitor the use of the electronic devices and will confiscate them if they find out that it has an active WIFI connection. An incident report will be sent home and the device will be held until a parent picks it up.
