The PIH20/PIH30R utilizes RF wireless audio transmission, offering an effective range of 150 feet (line of sight), and can serve up to several headphones. Where to place the transmitter Do not place the transmitter close to metal objects such as shelf bars, reinforced concrete walls, etc. If there is no audio signal for about 4 minutes, the transmitter automatically switches off. The transmitter is now in stand-by mode, its power consumption is very low so that it can remain connected to the mains. Pressing the headphone receiver on/off The TUNE/ON/OFF button is on the right earpiece. Make sure to turn off the headphones after each use. Adjusting the volume Set the volume of your sound source to a medium value. With some devices, the volume for the headphone output can be regulated separately. Use the VOLUME control on the right earpiece to adjust the headphones volume. Changing the receiver channel Press the ON/OFF button on the right earpiece until you can hear the audio signal loud and clear. Your headphones start on 1CH. Tap the power button to set to 2CH. Tap again for 3CH. Tapping again will reset to 1CH, and so on. Changing the transmission channel To avoid interference caused by the simultaneous operation of several transmitters, select a different channel on each transmitter. Depending on the system variant, two or three switchable transmission channels are available.
Complete freedom of movement It is not necessary that transmitter and headphone receiver are in a direct line of sight, so you can move around freely in the home or outside in the garden. One transmitter can be used to transmit to several receivers on the same frequency. The iPod dock transmitter can charge the iPods if it is power supplied by AC adapter. Some operating features 1. Audio Out Function: The transmitter can output the signal from docking iPod or AUDIO-IN connection. 2. The iPod dock transmitter can work with 4*AAA batteries, when using an external 5V DC power supply, the internal batteries power will automatically cut off, and the external 5V DC power supply can charge the iPod. 3. Audio input can choose the signal from iPod socket or AUDIO-IN, however, priority is AUDIO-IN. When playing music with iPod socket, the AUDIO-IN connection should be disconnected at first. 4. PIH20: The transmitter will automatically enter sleeping mode to save power if the transmitter detects no audio input signal or iPod (or MP3, TV, VCD and other audio systems) volume is turned down to very low level for more than 4 min. To leave sleeping mode, just put the iPod into the iPod socket or connect your audio systems to the transmitter. PIH30R: The transmitter will automatically enter sleeping mode to save power if the transmitter detects no audio input signal or iPod (or MP3, TV, VCD and other audio systems) volume is turned down to very low level for more than 4 min. To leave sleeping mode, just press the power button of remote control or restart the power. 5. The remote control of PIH30R is used for controlling the iPods only. ATTENTION: LISTENING AT HIGH VOLUME LEVELS FOR LONG PERIODS CAN PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR HEARING. This device has been designed for iPods not iPhones. If you play it with iPhones, you may hear some noise when a call comes in. Please take care of your ears. Are all connections properly made? Are the headphones and sound source switched on and is the volume correctly adjusted? Are you too far from the transmitter? (if so, move closer) Choose a different channel. Adjust the setting with the TUNE control.
