I.R.I.S announces the release of a new version of IRISCapture™ Pro dedicated to documents processing and archiving: IRISCapture™ Pro Sort&Index Brussels, February 15th, 2007 – I.R.I.S., a publicly traded company (Euronext: IRI), market leader in Automatic Document Recognition (ADR), Electronic Document Management (EDM) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) announced today the launch of IRISCapture Pro 8 Sort&Index, its new professional solution to automatically scan, sort, index and archive all kind of documents. Today, I.R.I.S. presented the solution to replace the document manual sorting and indexing by a fast, accurate and automated process. IRISCapture Pro 8 Sort&Index is based on 20 years of expertise and contains the best of I.R.I.S. Technology. Fully Dualstream compliant, it also offers a perfect synchronization with the high-speed scanning application KODAK Capture Software and allows to: • • • • • • • •

You can use this new I.R.I.S. product in different ways: as a sorting machine, as an indexing machine or as a combination of both. Moreover, IRISCapture Pro Sort&Index can enhance other I.R.I.S. products. For example, in combination with IRISPdf, you will be able, not only to create fully searchable PDF file, but also to rename your documents through indexing. IRISCapture Pro Sort&Index will use key indexes located on different places on your document.” IRISCapture Pro Sort&Index allows to scan, sort, index and archive all paper documents. It can also import electronic documents in different formats such as signed PDF. The images of the documents and attachments are stored in the Image Database of IRISCapture Pro 8.0 Sort&Index. They can be retrieved and displayed from any third party application using IRISCapture Pro Viewer. The proprietary recognition technology developed by I.R.I.S. allows to automatically extract the data you need from your documents: • First, the type of documents will be automatically identified based on an automatic recognition process using sophisticated multi-criteria identification • Then, the different fields of interest defined by the user (such as social security numbers, phone, names, date, amounts, etc.) will be automatically located and recognized. The data will be retrieved from the different pages of the documents in case of multipage documents. • Any additional information present on the documents can be captured by drag-anddrop OCR Validation of encoded data in IRISCapture Pro 8.0 Sort&Index All these data will be validated by customizable validation rules that guarantee the integrity of the data. Most of the data will be captured automatically. Ergonomic validation screens will allow making corrections if needed or encode additional data. IRISCapture Pro 8.0 Sort&Index supports most TWAIN compliant scanners. Using the optional module I.R.I.S. Fastlink™, it can be fully integrated with the high-speed highquality KODAK Capture Software, one of the most popular scanning and indexing application of the market which supports all the Kodak Scanner product line. IRISCapture Pro 8.0 Sort&Index is fully dual-stream compliant and can therefore take advantages of dual-stream scanning features with the Kodak scanners (simultaneous scanning in color and bitonal) IRISCapture Pro 8.0 Sort&Index integrates nicely with third party ERP and workflow solutions. The recognized data are exported in XML, CSV, etc. The images are exported in standard image formats such as TIFF, JPEG, etc… or can be accessed in the image database using the Viewing API IRISCapture Pro 8.0 Sort&Index. Pricing and availability IRISCapture™ Pro Sort&Index is available for international distribution through our value added reseller network.
