ISN’T IT FUNNY HOW NO-ONE HEARS “BED TIME” BUT EVERYONE HEARS “ICE CREAM”
FREEZERS MORE FAMILIES PREFER vertical freezers, bar freezers, chest freezers
single door Freezers Most mums will agree – the bigger a family gets, the smaller the freezer feels. That’s why we have developed an extensive range of freezers. Whatever the size or stage of your family, there’s a Westinghouse model that will take everything you can throw at it – one of the reasons why we’re Australia’s favourite refrigeration brand#. Be it a large vertical freezer, a bar freezer or a chest freezer, Westinghouse has a single door freezer that can meet your needs. This brochure has information on the complete range of Westinghouse single door models: • Vertical freezers – a single door, front opening freezer that stands vertically and is as high as a normal refrigerator. • Bar freezers
– a compact front opening freezer small enough to fit under a bench in a kitchen or bar.
• Chest freezers – a top opening freezer. Not only do their outsides differ in shape and size, interiors are designed with maximum adjustability – storing all your goods with ease. Just one more practical feature from Australia’s most trusted whitegoods brand°.

A GUIDE TO BUYING YOUR NEXT FREEZER After your house and car, fridges and freezers are some of the more expensive purchases you will make. That’s why it’s essential you make the right choice. But there are so many different types out there that it can be overwhelming. That’s where Westinghouse can help. In the table below are some guidelines and questions to help you decide on the right freezer for your family. Westinghouse freezers have started converting over to the less harmful R600a refrigerant. That means every day, the family refrigerator can quietly play its own part in reducing the household’s impact on the environment. Look out for this symbol, as well as, R600a in the specification tables, to see which models have already changed over.
TYPE/STYLE
Would white, pacific silver or fingerprint-resistant stainless steel suit your kitchen? Do you like your fridge and freezer together, or would you prefer less used items stored elsewhere?
DIMENSIONS
Does it need to fit into an existing space? (And remember that freezers need a few centimetres of air space around them for the most energy efficient operation). Always measure your kitchen cavity and doorways before you choose a freezer.
CAPACITY
Do you tend to have a lot of frozen food? Keep in mind that your family may expand, so when in doubt, go larger.
VALUE
Consider which features are really useful to you, but keep in mind that your family’s needs may change, so think ahead. Ongoing running costs can eat into your family budget so check the energy rating system (the more stars and the lower kWh per year the better).
EASY CLEANING
Spill safe glass shelves, easy-to-remove parts, and fingerprint-resistant surfaces can all make a big difference to your workload.
FUNCTIONS & CONTROLS
Manual controls are easy to use. Electronic controls offer a wider range of clever functions but can add to the purchase cost.

Twist ice and serve is an easy way to dispense ice.
The innovative fingerprint-resistant stainless steel surface ensures all Westinghouse stainless steel freezers maintain that sleek fingerprint-free look. A damp cloth should be all you need to remove marks from any Westinghouse fridge or freezer.
The multi-flow airflow system maintains an even temperature throughout – keeping your food fresher for longer.
Spill safe glass shelves improve visibility and isolate leaks – preventing up to 1 litre of spills from dripping down to the shelves below.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
A lightweight, sturdy, springloaded lid that stays open to free both your hands. The lid also provides an airtight seal, ensuring your freezer always runs at its most cost efficient.
Making defrosting easy, a drain at the base of the fridge allows water out.
The thermostat is set into a cavity on the freezer – not only giving you easy temperature control, it can’t be bumped or moved by mistake.
Fitting neatly into each other and can be removed to allow more storage space. When in use they keep the freezer neat and organised.
Runners allow the baskets to slide easily across the freezer. Accessing your frozen food in the lower area is simple.
