JAI STREETWATCH Bus lane and parking offences are an increasing problem in many metropolitan areas. A large number of vehicles cause daily bus delays, serious traffic congestion or worse. In order to reduce the number of offences and to ensure smooth traffic flow, JAI has developed the JAI STREETWATCH solution.

The system also handles surveillance of streets and roadways using new or already existing surveillance cameras. With JAI STREETWATCH, local authorities can monitor offenders and take appropriate action, making it possible to deal with parking and bus lane offences in a cost-effective manner.
integration with existing systems Many metropolitan areas already have a control room dealing with traffic problems by means of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). These CCTV systems can easily be expanded and integrated with JAI STREETWATCH to incorporate parking and bus lane contraventions. All that is required is an extra output from the existing video matrix and the solution is up and running.
integration with jai ticket express An additional benefit for JAI STREETWATCH users is the ability to integrate with JAI Ticket Express traffic enforcement software. Joined together, the systems works in a very simple and effective manner. Surveillance staff select a camera to watch on the monitor. This may, for example, be a camera monitoring a bus lane. They then record incidents as vehicles enter the lane. These incidents are stored on two tapes - a master and a copy tape. The master tape stored directly as evidence in an evidence bag. JAI Ticket Express operators use the copy tape for review, searching the tape for incidents. The operators grab digital images and enter detailed information when an incident occurs. The resulting information, including a digital image of the offence, is stored in a database from which the back end of Ticket Express can extract data for generating tickets, reminders and similar.

quality-approved All JAI STREETWATCH equipment is Type Approved by national authorities and code of practice to ensure enforcement is carried out within the framework of the law. Where digital recording is preferred, one of the time-lapse recorders is replaced by a digital recording unit to comply with the legal issues of storing evidence. A digital STREETWATCH enables faster reviewing of the evidence material and increased operator efficiency.
