Product: JH 21C07MDK Features: The color monitor described here is an industrialized version of a high quality Hitachi based monitor. The monitor allows you to display professional applications with clarity and enhanced color and image quality. The monitor provides you with automatic compatibility with multiple upgrading platforms and a vast array of graphics standards allowing resolution upgrades without upgrading the monitor. The monitor is tested according to the maritime standard IEC945-3. This is a technically lighter desktop monitor of the Hatteland monitor type JH 21C06 version.

POWER SWITCH:
Power ON: To turn the monitor on, press the power switch. The power light indicator (Power LED) will turn green. Note: If no VGA signal sync is present, it will turn orange after 10 seconds and the message “NO SYNC. SIGNAL” will be shown in the display.
Power OFF: To turn the monitor off, press the power switch.
DEGAUSS
- To manually degauss the picture press this button. This function will remove any color impuritites that may be visible in the picture.
Note:
- The monitor degausses itself during intital power up. Wait at least 10 minutes before repeating this function.

USER CONTROLS:
The On Screen Manager (OSD EasyMenu) controls are located on the left side of the monitor. To begin adjusting any of the monitor’s functions, press then desired function item, and then refer to the table below to make any changes to the picture. Below follows a rough guide to what these user controls buttons stand for.
INPUT SELECT:
This CRT monitor have two input terminals in the back. This will let the user to connect two computers simultaneously. The user may select any of the inputs to display by pressing the “Input Select” button.
SELECT FUNCTIONS BUTTONS / ADJUST BUTTONS:
Any picture adjustments can be viewed or modified by pressing any of these buttons. This will bring up an EasyMenu showing it’s function. Every function can be adjusted using the “Adjust Buttons” to either increase or decrease the values. The EasyMenu will be visible for 6 seconds before it automatically disappears. Pressing the same button will also close the EasyMenu. When any of the “Adjust Buttons” are pressed, a purple color will indicate that the selected function is active and are now beeing modified. A slider will also indicate the adjustment.

AVAILABLE FUNCTIONS:
Each of the “function buttons” have two sets of parameters that can be modified. One upper parameter and one lower parameter. To modify any of the parameters use either of the “adjust buttons” sets. The EasyMenu display will also indicate what parameter is beeing modfied. Some of the parameters requires the user to press two “functions buttons” simultaneous. This will be shown in the table below. Upper Parameter are adjusted with these buttons: Lower Parameter are adjusted with these buttons: PARAMETER

Curves the left and right sides inwards or outwards.

Right Trapezoid

Shrinks or expands the right top side+right bottom side.
Color Select
or
Choose the color warmth (Kelvin Degree) of the picture. Available modes are: No 1:9300K, No 2:6500K, No 3:5000K and No 4:USER (if available)
Color Balance
Red

Decrease or increase the intensity of the red color.
Green
and
or
Decrease or increase the intensity of the green color.
Blue
and
or
Decrease of increase the intensity of the blue color.
Color reset
This function is only valid when the user already has entered the color balance parameter menu. (As described above)

Pressing these two buttons simultaneously will cancel the currently adjusted color mode, and recalls the previously selected color mode, before entering the color balance parameter menu.
NOTE:
- When EasyMenu is not shown, the user can start the adjustment of Contrast and Brightness only, without pressing any of the “Select Function Buttons” - It is recommended to follow the following procedures for the adjustment of distortions; (1) “Rotation” - (2) “Pincushion” and “Trapezoid” (Adjust the right side) - (3) “Right Pincushion” and “Right Trapezoid” (Adjust the right side) - The mode “No 4:USER” is not factory preset, it can be programmed by the user - if desired. After adjustment of “Color Balance” (Red, Green or Blue) and “STORE” (refer to page 5), the user’s color balance preset can be restored by selecting “No 4:USER”

NOTE: - Moire may appear on the screen due to interference between CRT dot pitch and video signal by conditions of video image, display size, display brightness etc. Adjust the conditions of display size, display brightness etc, before trying the adjustment of moire. - In some cases, this function may cause deterioration of display quality, such as focus, jitter etc. - The condition of the moire changing circuit will be indicated by pressing any of the “Select Function Buttons” or “Adjust Buttons”, and will be displayed in the lower left corner of the EasyMenu as its own icon. See below.

STORE:
The user can store the display settings. Only one setting is allowed for each video mode. These geometry settings will be saved automatically when the EasyMenu is exited: H.POSITION, H.SIZE, V.POSITION, V.SIZE, PINCUSHION, TRAPEZOID, RIGHT PINCUSHION, RIGHT TRAPEZOID, H.MOIRE REDUCTION, and V.MOIRE REDUCTION.

SIGNAL INPUTS:
There are two signal inputs connectors allowing you to display two signals from separate sources. Connect the VGA cable to the desired D-SUB 15P Connector (female) on the rear side of the monitor. If possible, screw the VGA cable to the D-SUB connector and make sure you don’t bend any of the pins inside the connector. Connect the other end of the cable to the VGA output of your computer, and fasten it there also.
POWER TERMINAL:
Make sure the monitor is turned off before connecting. Insert the powercable into the 220 VDC power terminal.

To refer to the input signal condition, press any of the adjust buttons. The horizontal and vertical frequency will be indicated in the lower part of the picture.

AUTOMATIC SIGNAL CHECK:
When the CRT monitor has detected the change of the signal input condition, it will indicate the condition automatically, as follows: Indication 1: The EasyMenu indicates the resolution and vertical frequency. Precision frequency +/- 2khz approx. Condition 1: The monitor detects proper signal. Solution 1: No action is needed. Above: Sample of EasyMenu.
Indication 2: The monitor indicates the message “POWER SAVE” for 5 seconds. Condition 2: The monitor detects no sync. signal Solution 2: Verify power switch of the computer and check cable connection. Above: Sample of POWER SAVE condition.

Indication 3: The Power Light Indicator flashes. Condition 3: This happens when the monitor will go into the power saving mode. (Refer to page 6) Solution 3: Verify power switch of the computer and check cable connection. Indication 4: The EasyMenu indicates the message “INVALID SCAN FREQ”. Condition 4: This will happen when the monitor detects a sync. signal which is out of set-up specification or is unstable. Solution 4: Verify the specification of input signal. Above: Sample of INVALID SCAN FREQ condition.
VIDEO MUTING:
When the monitor has detected the change of the input signal condition, the monitor mutes the picture automatically. This function hides scrambled images which may appear during the changing period of the input signal. The muting period may vary as it can take a while before the replaced input signal has become stable or not.

- When the user switch the power OFF during the monitor is in OFF mode, sometimes the LED flashes continues a few seconds afterwards. This is not an failure.
PLUG & PLAY:
This monitor complies with VESA DDC1/2B specifications. Plug & Play is a system with computer, peripherals (including monitors) and operating systems. It works when the monitor is connected to DDC ready computer, which is running an operating system software that incorporates Plug & Play functionality.
