If you face any difficulties using the app, please contact JIYI Robotics Co. Ltd. at [email protected] or by calling +86 21-61139768 App download website: http://www.jiyiuav.com/en/content-188.html?siteid=2 Installation prerequisite: 1. The device should be running at least Android version 4.4.2. 2. The device should obtain Root privilege. 3. The device should have the below three apps installed in support of the Mobile Ground Station APP. ● Google service framework ● Google play store ● Google play service PS: The GS app supports both Chinese and English, and the display mode is decided by the mobile device’s language setting. Supporting Peripherals: JIYI 433MHz or 915MHz telemetry radio. Usage environment : Outdoors where good GPS lock is obtained. The UAV should be armed under GPS mode with stable lock. Notes: 1. In order to guarantee flight safety, the remote controller should be connected before using the GS. 2. Regaining radio control: When operating the GS, the UAV will not respond to control via the remote controller. If manual control is required, toggle the flight mode on the radio transmitter (i.e. the 5 channel switch). 3. In order to guarantee flight safety and avoiding error via remote control operations, please keep the remote control throttle setting at 50% when using GS. Usage: After installing all the required APPs, open JIYI GS APP, click the connection icon in top right corner, select connection via Bluetooth or USB cable, connect UAV port data transmission via GS data transmission radio, and control the flight controller operations. Ps: 1.Upon successful connection, the GS will show the UAV’s position and flight data. 2. Both airborne and ground-side data transmission pairing must succeed before Bluetooth connection can be successful. As shown below: Support functions : One-Button Arm. One-Button Take Off. Ascend. Hover. Guide mode. Follow me. Waypoint plan. Return Home. One-Button Landing. Ⅰ、One-Button Arm: Just click unlock button on the ground station. Notes: 1. The remote control transmitter should be turned on and connected to the flight controller successfully. 2. The remote control transmitter must be able to arm the UAV on its own. 3. To know if the UAV is armed successfully, the UAV motors should start up on idle speed. Arming behavior using the GS is same as using the remote controller. As shown below: Ⅱ、One Button Take Off : After arming, you have to click the takeoff button on the ground station in three seconds, the UAV will takeoff automatically and hover at the height of three meters. As shown below: Ⅲ、Ascend : During flight in progress, click the“ascend”button, if you don't set ascend height level, the UAV will be rise in the current position to the default height of 1000 meters. If you want to stop ascending, click on hover button or using the remote control to take back manual control by toggling the flight mode; If you set ascend height, the UAV will ascend according to your setting. As shown below: To set the “Ascend Height”, Goto “Settings”  “Advanced” and press “Read” on the ascend height to read the current set ascend height. Manually enter your desired ascend height and press “Save” Ps: The ascend height refers to the altitude of the aircraft in relation to ground. If the setting height is lower than the current flight altitude, the UAV will descend to the new set height. As shown below: Ⅳ、Hover : Regardless of the UAV’s flight mode, just click the “Hover”button in the GS interface , and the UAV will hover in its current position. As shown below: Ⅴ、Guided mode : Click “More”button in GS, and the below interface will pop up. Click the“Guide mode”option. After invoking Guide mode , tap anywhere on the map, and the UAV will fly to you designated location while keeping the current altitude. As shown below: Ⅵ、Follow Me Mode: In order to enable Follow Me, the mobile device's GPS location feature must be enabled. Then click on the GS app's "More" button and the below interface will be shown. Click on Follow-Me mode and a menu will pop-up showing "Enable Follow Mode" or "Disable Follow Mode". When enabled, the UAV will maintain current altitude and mobile device's position. If disabled is shown, just click it to re-enable Follow mode. As shown below: Ⅶ、Waypoint plan : 1. click on the ground station waypoint planning button to enter into the waypoint planning interface, click on the map and add each waypoint directly. As shown below: 2. dit waypoint: Click on individual waypoints to enter into editing mode. Click on the title lower right corner (gray-black drop-down triangle) to choose between waypoint or circling. As shown below: 3. When choosing the circling function, you can edit the point’s flight altitude, the circle’s radius and the number of circle. After completing the settings, press save and return. As shown below: 4. When selecting point as a waypoint, you could edit the flight altitude and hover time. After completing the setting, press save and return. As shown below: 5. After finished planning the waypoints, click “Send”. The waypoints data can then be sent to the flight controller. If you want to delete the waypoints, click delete under the waypoint planning interface, and then click the point, it will be deleted. As shown below: 6. Back to the main flight data interface, after the UAV is in stable flight, click on the "Automatic mode" option from the “More”button, and the UAV will fly automatically according to the planned route. Note: The UAV will take the shortest path when flying to waypoints. In order to ensure flight safety, please make reasonable waypoint planning to avoid obstacles. Ⅷ、Return Home : Regardless of the UAV flight mode, just click the “Return Home” button in GS and the UAV return home immediately. As showing below: Ⅸ、One Button Landing : During flight, click on the “landing”button and the UAV will perform vertical landing from its current location. As shown below:
