Do not use naked flame directly under the cooker hood, If the non-detachable power cord is damaged, it should be replaced with a special cord available from the manufacturer or a specialized repair shop. The exhaust air from the hood must not be discharged into a flue used for discharging exhaust fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels (not applicable in the case of closed circulation mode). Before connecting the cooker hood to the mains power supply and checking its correct functioning, always check if the power cord is properly installed and has not been pinched by the hood during installation. Before cleaning, unplug the power cord. Cleaning not carried out in accordance with the manual constitutes a fire hazard. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge of the appliance, unless they are given supervision or instructions according to the operating manual by persons responsible for their safety. Purpose and operation The Hood is intended for operations in a suction mode, discharging the fumes outside, or for operation in a filter mode as a closed circulation system. S4 Installation The minimum distance between the surface on which dishes are placed on the heating appliance and the lowest part of the cooker hood should be no less than 45cm in the case of electric stoves and no less than 65cm in the case of gas or dual electric/gas stoves. If the manual of the heating appliance recommends a larger distance for installation of a cooker hood, you must comply with these instructions. Installation of the hood and the hood’s casing pipe is shown in Figure S3. When installing the hood, you should observe the general regulations on discharging air from the room. You should take into account the fact that the use of spiral aluminium pipes reduces the efficiency of the hood and increases the noise level of the flowing air Electrical connection The mains voltage must comply with the conditions specified on the rating plate inside the hood. If the hood is equipped with a plug it needs to be put into a socket meeting the requirements of the applicable regulations and located in an easily accessible place. If the hood is not equipped with a plug, the hood should be installed by an authorized person. Maintenance Before proceeding to any maintenance operations, unplug the hood from the power supply. The appliance should be cleaned with special cleansing agents for surface made of stainless sheet metal or coated sheet metal. The hood should be cleaned with mild detergents, do not use abrasive cleaners. Regular maintenance will improve the operation of the hood. Caution: DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!!! Grease filter The cooker hood is equipped with an aluminium filter. The filter is removed by moving the locks in the direction indicated by the arrow (Fig. S1). The filter should be cleaned manually in the following manner: immerse it for 15 minutes in water mixed with mild detergent at the temperature of 40-50°C. After 15 minutes, start washing the filter and rinse it carefully. The filter must be completely dry before it is put back in the hood. If the filter is not cleaned regularly, the performance of the hood decreases and the fire risk increases. If washed in a dishwasher, the filter may become discoloured, but this does not affect its filtering properties. Charcoal filter (Only for closed circulation mode - Fig. S5) The cooker hood can be equipped with a carbon filter. Carbon filter is used only when the hood is NOT connected to a ventilation duct. The filter should be placed on the turbine casing, as shown in Fig. S5. In this case, the filtered air is discharged back into the room. The hood should not be connected to ventilation ducts. In order to ensure correct operation and efficient filtering of odours, the carbon filter should be replaced regularly (every 3 to 6 months), depending on the intensity of utilization of the hood. Lighting replacement (Fig. 2) Before proceeding to any operations related to lighting replacement, unplug the hood from the power supply. If the hood was previously on, wait a few minutes and only replace the bulb after it cools down. Caution! Do not touch the bulbs as long as they are hot. Make sure you do not touch the front of the bulb you install directly with your fingers.
