Product description The JV5 series solvent inkjet printers enable printing images with exceptional quality at ultra high-speed, which makes them ideal for both immediate delivery and high-volume production.
Mimaki’s JV5 series are equipped with unique features that eliminate time-consuming and costly processes. These features include the Uninterrupted Ink Supply System (UISS), automatic nozzle drop-out detection and recovery, and three-way intelligent heater.

Mimaki exclusive inks Two types of solvent inks are available for JV5 series •
HS Ink A solvent ink meeting the needs for high scratch resistance and high-speed high density printing required for outdoor signboard printing. Since HS ink has a strong odor, an air purifying system is recommended.

ES3 Inks A safe and low odor solvent ink usable that can be used even in general offices without special exhausting facilities. It is also possible to print on non-coated medias. However, the drying time of ES3 ink is longer than HS ink.

Variable head number control In the event of failures on a head or heads, the JV5 series still can print with the rest of the heads specified by operator. (Printing can be performed with min. 1 head)

The Uninterrupted Ink Supply System Automatic workflow Long uninterrupted printing (1760 cc per color) in 4-color mode is possible with the UISS function. When one of the two ink cartridges is empty, the ink supply is switched to the other cartridge automatically. With this feature, it is possible to print a whole roll of media (approx. 50 m) without changing cartridges.

Automatic nozzle failure detection •
The ink discharged from the print head is monitored by the automatic nozzle failure detection and recovery system, which results in quick detection and recovery of clogged nozzles.

This feature saves time and money. It lowers the chance of print failure caused by head clogging and reduces the waste of ink and media.

Automatic head height adjustment •
The thickness of the media is automatically detected and the head height can be automatically adjusted to get the designated head gap.

Even when the thickness of the media changes, printing can be done with a constant head gap. This enables the user to always obtain the best printing result.

Three-way intelligent heater The triple stage intelligent heater automatically heats up the media to the appropriate temperature, improving the performance of the ink.
Pre-heater and print-heater The pre-heater and print-heater reduce ink bleeding and contributes to high quality printing results.
Post-heater The large post-heater quickens the drying time of the ink and thus enables a fast take-up of the media.

New innovative functions for JV5-320S •
Mesh printing innovation Automatic drainage system to remove excess ink An ink tray receives excess ink which passes through a mesh so avoiding the requirement for a liner. Ink in tray automatically raked out to enable longer printing without worrying about ink overflow (option). This way, high quality print is achieved without staining from excess ink.

Double sided printing innovation New function for eye catching backlit applications By printing on both sides of FF (flexible face), images for viewing both at night and in daylight can be enhanced to show the same greater brilliance. When printing on the reverse side, a sensor detects marks printed on the front side and automatically compensates for shrinkage caused by solvent. In addition the printing position in the head movement direction can be changed manually during printing so that the relative positions of double sided images can be adjusted

JV5 sublimation transfer inkjet printers The JV5 series are also available in dye sublimation models •
Extensive range of applications for the growing sublimation transfer market, including sportswear, ceramic tile, flags, wall murals, mugs, et cetera.

Higher speed compared to the JV4 series, which saves printing time up to 12 hours 20 minutes.

Fast drying and high density dye sublimation ink set, which offers incredibly vibrant colours, with a wide gamut. The SB51 dye sublimation inks feature the four colour process colours (cyan = blue), plus light blue and light magenta.
