4. How do I know what level I’m on? I mean - where am I?
2. This thing goes too fast! How can I get it to chill out?
5. That’s it – I need a BREAK!! How do I pause this thing?
• Not a problem. Just take a trip on the “ROAD TO ROCK” game found on the MAIN MENU to start learning all the hottest, rockin’ moves!
Setting up I CAN PLAY™ GUITAR is as simple as 3 easy steps!
1. INSTALL THE BATTERIES
1. HELP! I never picked up a guitar before – I don’t even know how to hold one.
• The songlist menu will show you what level you’re at for each song. And when you go to play that song, you can go back to a previous level if you want to practice and work on your riffs! Just press the forward and back arrow keys.
3. TURN IT ON
• Locate the battery compartment, found on the back of the guitar. • Install 4 “C” batteries as shown. • For best performance, always use alkaline batteries.
• Turn on your TV. • Set the channel using your remote control or the buttons on your TV to one of the following settings which are usually found below channel 2: • AUX • LINE IN • INPUT • SOURCE • Make sure the software cartridge is fully inserted into the guitar, as shown. 1

Insert to here
• No worries. While you’re playing a song, you can slow it down (or speed it up!) by just pressing the up and down arrow keys.
• Hey - just use the pause button! And while the song is paused, you can still practice – the buttons will still light up on your screen! PAUSE
2. CONNECT IT
• Insert the cable that came with your I CAN PLAY™ GUITAR into the guitar, as shown. Please make sure it is inserted completely. • Connect the other end of the cable to the color-coded inputs (red, white, and yellow) found on the front or back of your TV.
• Slide the TV/GUITAR button on the guitar to the “TV” position. • Slide the ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the guitar to the ON position.
