DESCRIPTION The K8 is a passive, very compact fullrange two-way enclosure with asymmetrical highfrequency dispersion, for mobile soundreinforcement or fixed installation. Features:: The K8 incorporates one proprietary 8”woofer in an reflex -Asymmetric hf flare tuned trapezoidal enclosure, and one 1” compression -Very low colouration driver on a K-Acoustics asymmetrical flare. -Very compact A passive crossover including highgrade components and -High SPL/size ratio precise matching results in a flat response and uncoloured -Six year limited warranty sound without the need of a controller or DSP. This will cut cost to a minimum and makes the K8 easy to use. -Engineered and made in Sweden Applications: The K8 works equally well in mobile music/speech applications as in fixed installations of various kind. -Club installs The downward asymmetrical flare minimize ceiling -Bar installs reflections for higher intelligibility. -Disco chillout areas Every K-Acoustics enclosure is made from Finnish birch -Mobile sound plywood, finished in black textured Warnex. -Theatre Two Neutrik NL4 are mounted at the rear. The K8 is supplied with three integral flying points and Overall dimensions: one integrated handle. The BP12 subwoofer in an active configuration is designed to be used with K8, to extend and increase low frequency output. 420

ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS The loudspeaker shall be of the compact fullrange type, consisting of one 8” (216mm) direct radiating reflex loaded low/mid frequency transducer in a trapezodial Finnish birch ply enclousure, and one 1” compression driver on K-Acoustics asymmetrical flare. The enclosure shall be fitted with three integral fly points and one integrated handle. Performance without any kind of controller or DSP shall meet or exceed the following criteria: Frequency response measured 1 metre on axis shall be 80Hz-19kHz+/-3dB. Power handling shall be 200W AES, 800W peak. Rated impedance shall be 8 ohms. Maximum SPL measured at 1 metre on axis shall be 118dB continuous, 124dB peak. Dimensions 420 (H) x 265 (W) x 258 (D) mm.
