future reference. This appliance is for household use only. Please use suitable power source (220-240V~, 50/60Hz). Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Do not use the appliance under direct sunshine. Please turn off the appliance when not in use otherwise it may result in danger. Please turn off the appliance and unplug the socket when unattended otherwise it may result in danger. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. With any indication of damage or malfunction, please stop using the appliance immediately to avoid hazards. Take it to / Contact the authorized service center for repair. Do not attempt to repair or change any parts by yourself. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazards. Please turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance. Clean the surface of the appliance with a dry cloth. Do not use corrosive detergent or solvent to clean. Do not swash the appliance with water. Please turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use. Make sure the power is off before pulling out the plug. Do not pull the cord. When the appliance is not in use for a prolonged period, please turn it off, unplug it, pack it well, and store it in dry cool place. Forbid to put flammable and explosive objects around the appliance. Do not use the appliance in an environment full of flammable gas and powder. Keep away from any fire and heat sources. Please put the power cord in the right place in order to avoid tripping the appliance over. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of table counters, or touch any hot surfaces. Do not operate the appliance without load to avoid damaging the heat elements. Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before operating again. Ensure that the kettle is used on a firm and flat surface. Always pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping the kettle too fast. Be careful when opening the lid for refilling when the kettle is hot. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children. Do not touch the hot surface. Extreme caution must be used when moving the appliance containing hot water. Avoid contacting the steam from the spout when water is boiling or just after the appliance is switched off. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use. The kettle can only be used with the stand provided. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be overflowed. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use. Do not use the kettle outdoors. WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling. WARNING: Avoid spillage on the connector. WARNING: Potential injury will be caused from misuse. CAUTION: Position the lid so that the steam is directed away from the handle. CAUTION: Insure that the appliance is switched off before removing it from its stand.

OPERATION INSTRUCTION Before Initial Use If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended that you clean the kettle by boiling with max capacity of water twice and then discard the water. NOTE: The max capacity of the kettle is 1.7L.
Operation 1. Place the unit on a level surface. 2. To fill water into the kettle, remove it from the power base first and open the lid by pressing the lid release button, fill with the desired amount of water and close the lid. Always fill the kettle between the minimum (0.5L) and maximum (1.7L) marks. NOTE:
Too little water will cause the kettle switching off before the water has been boiled.
Do not fill the water over the maximum level (1.7L), as water may spill out of the spout when boiling.
Ensure that the lid is firmly in place before connecting the power cord to the outlet.

3. Close the lid. Position the kettle on the power base in place. 4. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press down the On/Off switch and the indicator will be on. The kettle will start boiling the water. The kettle and the indicator will be switched off automatically once the water has being boiled and the On/Off switch will be uplifted. You can switch off the power by lifting the On/Off switch at any moment during water boiling NOTE:
Ensure that the On/Off switch is clear of obstructions and the lid is firmly closed. The kettle will not be off if the switch is constrained or the lid is opened. Potential injury will be caused from misuse.
5. Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water. NOTE:
Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water may cause scalding.
Besides, do not open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
6. The kettle cannot re-boil again when the On/Off switch is uplifted at the same time or immediately. Please allow it to cool down for 15-20 seconds before re-operating. 7. The kettle may be stored on the power base when not in use. NOTE: Ensure the power supply is turned off when the kettle is not in use.
Boil-Dry Protection Should you accidentally allow the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch off the power. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before operating again.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION Care and Cleaning Always disconnect the kettle from the power outlet and let it cool down completely before cleaning. 1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water, or allow moisture to contact these parts. 2. Wipe the kettle body with a dry cloth. 3. Remember to clean the filter at intervals. For easier cleaning, detach the filter and then replace it after cleaning. CAUTION: Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle to prevent the gloss loss. 4. When not in use, the power cord can be wound under the bottom of power base.

Removal of Mineral Deposits Mineral deposits in tap water may cause limescale in the kettle interior. To remove limescale: 1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups (around 300ml) of white vinegar and water to the amount so as to cover the bottom of kettle completely. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight. Do not boil. 2. Empty the solution from the kettle. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil and then discard the water. The kettle is ready to use. NOTE: If limescale is still being found in the kettle interior, please repeat step 1 & 2.

To prevent circuit overload and fire, no more than one safety compliant adaptor or extension unit should be inserted into a socket outlet. (Do not connect other appliances to the socket outlet supplying an electric heater.) No adaptor should be inserted into any extension unit or vice versa.
Stop using an adaptor or an extension unit or a socket if its socket holes cannot firmly hold a plug if it is too hard to insert a plug into it.
This appliance must be plugged into a specific 220-240V socket. Please make sure the plug is fully plugged-in before use. Do not use any adapter or extension cord; Never use the same supply socket for this appliance and other appliances at the same time, in order to avoid damage to this appliance.
