Big screen- big enjoyment! To get as close to reality as possible in terms of light, colors and contrast ratio, you need a projection screen of high quality. Kingpin Screens offers you a variety of models: Electric, manual, pull up and frame screens, for large-scale movie nights or for the conference room. All screens are easy to install and use with your home theater or computer equipment. No matter what your needs are and what option you choose, we guarantee a screen that can handle the requirements of excellent image quality at an appealing price.
GOOD TO KNOW: Size To find out what size to have you can project the image on the place where you intend to have the screen. Another way is to divide the distance from where you are sitting and the placement of the screen in two to get the width of the screen. Example: If you are sitting four meters from the screen the veiwing area should be about two meters wide.
FORMAT The most common formats are 16:9 and 1:1. The figures represent the width of the viewing area in relation to the height. We advice you to have the same format on the screen as the projector’s standard format. 1:1 this format is usually used in conference rooms. 4:3 is the old TV format that some computers use. 16:9 is widescreen and the format that most TVs use today. 16:10 is the new business format for projectors and laptops. 2.35:1 is the format used in cinemas and it’s the original format of most movies.
GAIN Gain describes how much light the screen reflects in proportion to the amount of light projected onto the screen. 1,0 gain is the most common value, then the screen reflects as much light as is projected onto it.
CONTRAST To get the best blackness and to increase the contrast ratio, we have a black border around the viewing area on the screens (except for the 1:1 format screens). The result is a significantly better viewing experience.
TAB TENSION SCREEN (TAB) This is our latest development and the flattest screen in the rolled screen range. Cords in the sides are spanning the fabric horizontally, while a heavy bottombar spans it vertically. The clever design gives the screen the same high image quality as a frame screen, but can easily be rolled up after use. Screens of this kind often have large and unwieldy casings. Therefore we have designed our own version, only 12.5 cm in height, elegant and subtile in its design. The wall/ceiling mounts are easily mounted by one person, if you like to mount the screen in a rail system it works fine. Kingpins KP300A control system is included. You will find detailed information on page 10-11 of how to control the screen.

VELVET – THE VELVET FRAME ABSORBS REFLECTIONS
VELVET FRAME SCREEN (VFS) Frame screen for optimal imaging. The aluminum frame is covered with velvet, a material which effectively prevents disruptive reflections. The angle towards the screen is 45 degrees, which also prevents reflections bouncing at the screen. Recommended for all movie enthusiasts who wants to have perfect color and contrast ratio on a guaranteed wave free screen. For the true enthusiast seeking the ultimate cinematic experience at home this screen also comes in the movie format 2.35:1.

Crown is a motorized projection screen where the screen fabric comes out in the front of the casing. ELLIPSE ELECTRIC SCREEN (EES) The Ellipse screen is ready to connect to the power socket and use without installation of an electrician. The screen is easily mounted by one person and can be mounted either to the wall or the ceiling. The mounting device is compatible with most rail systems, which made the Ellipse a favorite in public enviroments. The name comes from the ellipse shaped casing, sleek and discreet in its design. The fabric is made of glass fiber, a rigid and durable material that stands up very well over time. The motor has built in adjustment for end position, adjustable with great precision. REMOTE CONTROL
KP300A A RF remote control is included with your electric screen. This is programmed to work with the control box and is the most common way to control your screen.

KP300A If you want to control your screen with an IR- or universal remote control you can program the control box via the IR-eye. Most IR-remote controls works with KP300A.
3. 12V TRIGGER CONTROL BOX KP300A
PROJECTOR
KP300A If your projector has a 12 volt trigger output, you can con nect it with the control box. The screen goes down when you turn on the projector and it goes up when you turn it off.
CONTROL SYSTEM! All Kingpins electric screens have a very competent control system as standard. When you buy your screen everything is already assembled and ready to plug into the power socket. You do not need to get help from an electrician to make it work. Plug & Play! A RF-remote control to run the screen is included. RF-signals do not need to have optical contact with the receiver, therefore, you can hide the control box away if wanted (fig. 1). Would you rather control with a multi remote control or an IR remote? Then use the built-in IR eye that are placed in the control box. IR codes are programmed by default, you can also use your own codes (fig. 2). The control box is easy to program, see operation guide. If you want to connect your Kingpin screen to a larger control system, such as Crestron or Extron, you´ll do it by the line-IR input. Here you can also connect more basic control systems like Neets, AMX or similar. Copy the IR codes that are default into the control system and start immediately. See operation guide for detailed instructions (fig. 4). Many projectors have a 12-volt trigger output, here you can connect a cable directly into the control box. When you start the projector, the screen goes down automatically, and when you turn it off the screen goes back up (fig. 3). It could not be easier! If your projector does not have the 12-volt trigger we have an accessory as an option, KP500A. See explanation below.

KP500A If you like to have an automatic control of your screen? Connect the KP500A between the projector and the power socket. When it consumes power, it sends out an RF-signal and the screen goes down. When power off the screen goes back up. No remote control needed!

LITE MANUAL SCREEN (LMS) A basic screen with a small and discreet casing made of extruded aluminum. The sleek design fits modern homes as well as public environments. The mounting system is easy to use and compatible with most rail systems on the market. The screen can be mounted on the wall or in the ceiling and comes in a variety of formats; 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. A simple but yet sturdy screen for those who do not want to save on other things than money.

BIG SIZE SCREEN – if you like to see the big picture...
BIG SIZE SCREEN (BSS), MODEL A The large-sized professional screen. The mechanics are made entirely of solid aluminium components with a matt white box. Thanks to the geometry of the brackets, it is possible to hang it on a wall. The chains provided, if correctly fixed, ensure even more safety in compliance with TUV safety regulations and prove very useful when moving the screen during installation. The oversized motor is provided with thermal protection and the stop buffers can be adjusted by remote control. The solid packaging is strengthened by steel bars which reinforce the cardboard thus protecting the box from possible damage during transport. All our Big Size Screen belong to M1/B1 AND M2/B2 class (for Fireprotection). FOLDABLE FRAME SCREEN (FFS) If you need a big screen that is easy to transport between the times you use them, this is you natural choice. The Foldable Frame Screen is easy to assemble and take apart. The screen is convinient to work with for the people on the road who needs to make big size quality presentations. The frame for the screen fabric are in one piece and will be assembled in just a few minutes. The fabric is made of soft PVC, a rigid and durable material that stands up very well over time. One front projection fabric is included in the set along with a nylon bag. If you need rear/back projection you can order a separate fabric. A very common product for rental services, schools, public environments when showing movies/presentations for larger groups.

INCEILING – INVISIBLE INSTALLATION
INCEILING ELECTRIC SCREEN (IES) When you need to hide a screen in the ceiling this is your natural choice. The screen will be integrated in the suspended ceiling in your home or at the office, only revealing itself when it´s time for presentations. The fiberglass fabric is all white and 240 cm high, this gives you the opportunity to use all formats and possible equipment to show your presentation, even with an old time overhead projector in the office... The casing is made of aluminum and gives you a high quality feeling. When the bottombar goes up in the casing it covers the gap and gives you the illusion of a flat ceiling. SCREEN BRACKET – Hangs your screen
SCREEN BRACKET (SB) Screen Bracket is a bracket for Kingpins products when you need to extend the screens out from the wall. The bracket shall be mounted on the wall. The design is neet and discrete and they are easy to mount, this makes the bracket to a good and affordable alternative. The length of the bracket is 23 cm. The bracket is universal and works with the full range of Kingpin Screens (which can be mounted in the ceiling). When mounting the brackets that are included with the screen, they shall be mounted as mounted in the ceiling on the Screen Bracket. The brackets are tested and approved to carry a weight up to 20 kg/pair.

PROJECTOR MOUNTS – FOR BOTH HOME AND PUBLIC ENVIRONMENT
PROJECTOR MOUNTS Kingpin Screens have two series of mounts for the projectors: Vertical Projector Mount and Professional Projector Mount. All mounts over 20 cm are in silver, but the shorter mounts are available in silver, black and white. In the tube between the projector and the ceiling, the cables can be hidden for a neat installation with no visible cables. The mounts fits most of the projectors on the market and can handle loads of up to 15 kg. The most common varieties of screws to mount the projector are included in the accessories kit.
