Important: please use all supplied bolts and parts and read all instructions carefully before beginning this installation. The majority of questions you may have can be answered within the text, and proper installation will ensure safe and secure travel. Now, begin the installation. This bracket assembly utilizes the front bumper and frame as mounting points. Remove the plastic air dam on each side, loosen the front splash panels and radiator air flaps for access to the front frame horns. 2. Remove all four bolts holding the sway bar and let the sway bar drop downward. 3. Sandwich the rear of the braces (B&C) between the frame and the sway bar. Reinstall the sway bar and bolts. Fish wire one ½” x 1½” bolt with welded backing plate through the front of each frame horn and downward through the remaining hole (see drawing) and attach lock washers and nuts. Do NOT skip installing this special bolted backing plate, as it is important to the overall towing strength of the assembly. 4. Now, locate the existing holes in the bumper bottom that line up with the extended tab on the braces and insert a ½” x 1 ½” bolt with a 3/8” x 1 ½” x 5” backing plate (provided) down through each hole (see drawing). Install the angle clips (D) on this bolt and attach it to the extended tab on the lower braces (B&C) using ½” x 1½” bolts, nuts and washers provided. 5. Now bolt the face plate (A) to the lower braces (B&C) using ½” x 1½” carriage bolts, nuts and washers provided (see drawing). Now tighten all bolts according to the torque chart shown below. 6. Install and align the tow bar according to the instructions provided with the tow bar . 7. Trim the plastic splash panels and air dam to fit and replace the fasteners.
