KIT NO. 1508-2 1. This bracket kit consists of two main braces and a hardware pack. The main braces mount below the front bumper fascia to the front frame and subframe. Start by laying the kit out according to the illustration. This will give you a visual idea of how the kit installs and also confirm that the kit components are present and accounted for. 2. Important: please use all supplied bolts and parts and read all instructions carefully before beginning this installation. The majority of questions you may have can be answered within the text, and proper installation will ensure safe and secure travel. Now, begin the installation by removing the plastic splash panels around the front tie down plates. Once you have access to the tie down plate bolts, remove them and the tie down plates. Note: the top bolt on the passenger side may be obscured by a small accumulator. If so, remove or loosen two 10mm mounting bolts to allow access to the top most bolt. 3. Work on one side at a time and remove two subframe attachment bolts directly behind the tie down mounting area. Hold the appropriate brace with the flat mounting plate over the tie down mounting area and the rear of the brace over the subframe mounting holes. Bolt through the rear of the brace with the two stock mounting bolts removed in step two. Leave these bolts loose for the moment. Note: Optional shim washers can be inserted if necessary. 4. Start all three supplied 10mm x 1.25 x 35mm bolts in the side of the frame, then tighten the lower subframe bolts to the torque specifications below. Now, finish tightening the three side bolts to the torque specifications below. 5. Repeat step four for the remaining side. Retighten the accumulator mounting bolts and reinstall the splash panels after trimming to fit. 6. Install the tow bar according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
