Our Oven functions explained. Fanned Oven Heat The fan function is used to evenly disperse the heat in an oven. All foods on all racks will be cooked evenly. This function is ideal for cooking multiple dishes.
Grill & Fan Creates a fast circulation of heat and is ideal for large grills, quick browning and sealing juices in. When grilling, the oven door must be closed and the oven temperature should be adjusted to 190°C.
Upper & Lower Heat K * 4 > and lower heating elements only. Recommended for foods which require the same cooking temperature both internally and externally e.g. Roasts and Pastries.
Grill This cooking method is normal grilling which directs heat downwards onto the food. Suitable for grilling medium or )4) ) )
Lower Heat This cooking setting is used for more focused heat and control in your oven. It is an ideal method for pizza bases and pastry cases where you need a crispy underside, bain marie or casseroles.
Defrost The fan runs without heat to reduce the defrosting time of frozen foods. The time required to defrost the food will depend on the room temperature, the quantity and type of food. Always check food packaging for instructions.
Grill & Lower Heat The combination of grill with the lower heating element is a good option for pies, quiches and crisping pizzas.
Oven Light The oven light will automatically come on in your oven while it is on and it will remain alight while any of the functions are in use.
