The KitchenAid® Magnetic Drive Torrent™ Blender provides exceptional performance with a powerful 1.8 Peak HP (Horsepower) Motor with Intelli-Speed™ Motor control. What is Intelli-Speed™ Motor control? Intelli-Speed™ Motor control is an advanced KitchenAid® design that monitors and maintains an optimal blending speed for each culinary function, even through density changes and when ingredients are added. What is the MAGNALOCK™ Magnetic Drive System? The MAGNALOCK™ Magnetic Drive System locks the pitcher in place and creates a new home blending experience. The pitcher slides in and out – just like a coffee maker – to create a low-profile design. How do I remove the pitcher? To remove the pitcher, simply pull the release lever to help remove the pitcher after you have finished blending. Grab the handle firmly, and pull the pitcher straight towards you to remove. How large is the Pitcher? The Torrent™ Blender has a unique one-piece, 60oz Diamond-shaped Slide-In Pitcher with lid that is BPA Free and has patented stainless blades. The pitcher is Dishwasher safe. What does Adapti-Blend™ mean? Adapti-BlendTM is simply blending with the push of a button. Four Adapti-Blend™ Pre-Set Recipe Programs (Juice, Soups/Sauces, Milkshakes and Icy Drinks/Smoothies) blend through a range of speeds to combine all ingredients together, so you don’t have to scrape the sides of the pitcher. Each program is designed specifically for that recipe type and offers you the ability to slide in the jar, push the button and walk away. The programs automatically shut off when complete. The Blender will chime to signal the cycle is complete, or you can Press the START/PAUSE button to stop the Blender manually. Can I add ingredients as I blend? Yes! The Torrent™ Blender has an Add-as-you-blend ingredient feed feature at the top of the blender that allows for the addition of ingredients during the blending process. It includes a removable ingredient feed cap and funnel which are dishwasher safe. Can the Torrent™ blend whole juice and nut butters? Yes, it can make juice from whole fruit – which includes the pulp, unlike a juicer; and you can also make nut butters. Can the Torrent™ blender crush ice? Yes! The Torrent™ Blender crushes ice in seconds and has the precision to produce the finest purees. Does the Torrent™ have a Pulse or Manual Mode? Yes! The Torrent™ is complete with both Pulse and Variable Speed Modes. The Pulse mode allows precise control of the duration and frequency of blending, and is great for recipes that require a light touch.
