Description This kit contains the pieces necessary to install a remote alarm dry contact connection for a weigh scale blender with touch screen option. Customer will supply their own 2-conductor cable. Termination will be at the touch screen power box mounted on the back of the blender. The cable will run into the power box to connect to a relay controlled by the DC alarm signal. Relay is normally open, an alarm signal will close the contacts. Relay output is rated for 10A at 250VAC or 10A at 30VDC.

Installation DISCONNECT POWER SUPPLY TO BLENDER BEFORE BEGINNING WORK! 1. Prepare box for RAO connections. A. If necessary, remove hardware fastening power box to blender so that box can be tilted up for easier access to the underside. B. Locate and drill holes for relay and terminal strip. Newer boxes will have dimples on the underside to mark hole locations. C. Either drill 1/2" [13mm] diameter hole or if available, remove knockout for RAO cable. D. Clean up any metal chips created in previous two steps. RELAY HOLE PATTERN

2. Install relay and terminal strip. A. Fasten terminal strip to inside of box using longer #6 hardware. B. Fasten relay to inside of box using shorter #6 hardware. C. Solder RED and BLACK leads from relay to back of alarm buzzer. D. Connect GRAY and PURPLE leads from relay to terminal strip. 3. Connect customer supplied RAO cable. A. Loose ring terminals (sized for 18 - 22 AWG wire) are supplied with kit. B. Install ring terminals to the 2 wire ends of the cable. C. Bring cable into box via hole created in step 1C. D. Connect ring terminals to terminal strip installed in step 2A. E. Install strain relief in hole to retain the RAO cable. F. Refasten power box to blender (if unfastened in step 1).
