Kawasaki recognises this, and proudly introduces two great Fun bikes based on the KLX110. Designed for youngsters aged 13 and above, and mini-moto enthusiasts, the KLX110L can handle rider weights up to 70 kg. The latest upgrades make the KLX110L even more fun to ride. The engine settings for the 112 cm³ SOHC Single result in a more powerful engine. A 4-speed transmission and manual clutch means even more gear selection. The rear suspension offers great bottoming performance. KLX110’s ergonomics accommodate a wider range of riders. 4-Speed Transmission • With 4 gears, the gear ratios are selected to enhance the engine’s acceleration capabilities. Low first gear enhances accelleration from a standing start. • Shift drum cam groove and postioning spring design combine with the smooth cam surface resulting in smooth shift feel and positive gear engagement under all riding conditions. • Shift lever shape helps prevent unintended actuation. 112 cm³ 4-Stroke Engine • Air-cooled, single cylinder engine is simple to operate and maintain, with high reliability. Ergomonics • Handlebar bends offers a greater freedom of movement and accomadates a wider range of riders. • Flat footpeg/frame rail relationship provides area to grip the frame with one’s ankles for better control. • Handle bar grips feature a waffle pattern on half the surface for excellent grip and comfort. Kick or Electric Starter • A keyless On/Off switch located on the left handlebar makes starting the KLX110L quick and easy. Manual Clutch • Manual clutch allows riders to master full control of shifting the wide ratio 4-speed transmission. • KLX110L features a 1-N-2-3-4 shift pattern like the larger KLX models. Long Travel Suspension • Sturdy front and rear suspension complements the high tensile steel backbone frame. • Front 30 mm forks have 30 mm longer travel over the KLX110 and have spring rates and damping settings specific for the KLX110L model and the rider weight limits. • The rear shock also has increase stroke for increased rear wheel travel over the base KLX110 model, with specific spring and damping settings for enhanced off road performance. • The spring and damping settings complement the long travel fork settings to increase handling performance over rough ground. • A red LED warning light on the left handlebar is activated when the handlebar “On/Off” switch is in the “On” position. • KACR (Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release) on the intake valve provides easy starting for both the electric and kick starters. • Digital CDI ignition ensures quick, reliable starting. • A sprocket-style chain roller helps smooth engine braking by reducing the driveline lash when the rider gets off the throttle quickly and the play in the lower side of the chain suddenly tightens. Chain Guard • Long lower chain guard encloses the bottom and hub-side of the chain making it difficult for fingers to get trapped. Drum Brakes • 110 mm rear drum is operated by a rear brake rod designed with minimal bends and the rear brake pedal provides a postive pedal feel. Bodywork • The shrouds, tank, number plate, side covers and fenders are designed and modelled after our flagship motocross racer the KX450F. Engine • Digital DC-CDI ensures quick starts and low maintenance. • Ignition timing inspection hole added to the left side of the engine facilitates maintenance. • Muffler comes equipped with a spark arrestor so the KLX110L can be ridden with confidence. • Efficiently designed airbox is compact and easy to to service. Chassis • Tapered roller bearing used in the bottom of the steering stem offers increased durabilty. • Sealed-type 12 volt battery eases maintenance chores. • Convenient side stand eases maintenance chores. • Steel rims measure 14 x 1.40 and 12 x 1.60. Other • Adjustable throttle allows performance to be limited. • Three separate heat shields are mounted on the exhaust system.
