The wireless Keypad (also named Remote Keypad) is an accessory for your system. Keypads allow you to set / unset the system from anywhere inside your property. 1 2 3 1. Power Active LED (Green) 4 2. Signal Transmit LED (Red) 3. Fault Display LED (Orange) 4. Slide-out section reveals location holes 4 Keypad Buttons:       Numeric Keypad (1 – 9, *, 0, #): Used for entering PIN codes to set / unset the system (the default PIN code for your Keypad is 1234 and for security reasons this should be changed in your online account). To change the PIN number for your Keypad, login to your account and go to: Home Control > Alarm Users and click on Edit. In future if you have more than one user of the system you can use this section to allocate users unique PIN codes to identify them at the property. Enter the pin code followed by the set or unset button on the Keypad to activate or de-activate the alarm. Green “unlocked” symbol Key: Used for un-setting your system. Red “locked” symbol Key: Used for setting your system. “Man in House” symbol Key: Used for setting your system to Home mode. Home mode enables you to part set the system so you can have part of the property protected whilst you occupy another part. To determine which sensors you would like the system to ignore when using Home mode, go to My Equipment in your online account and change the settings for the sensors you wish to remain un-set. The setting that you need to choose is Home Omit. For example, if you wish to keep the upstairs sensors un-set at night whilst keeping the downstairs sensors active and monitoring for intruders, ensure that the upstairs sensors are in Home Omit mode before pressing the “Home” button on the Keypad. The downstairs sensors should then remain in Burglar mode. “Help” symbol Key: Instant Panic alarm button – this instantly alerts all of your contacts to an emergency at the property. Quick-Keys:    Press and hold the HELP button to initiate a panic alarm. Press the 4 + 6 keys together to initiate a fire alarm. Press the 7 + 9 keys together to initiate a medical alarm. Note: Press and hold the quick-keys until LED 2 stops flashing to initiate an alarm. Adding the Keypad to your system MY-SERENITY accessories are easy to add to your existing system. To do this you need to ‘learn’ each accessory into the system and then name them in your online account (you can leave the default name if you wish). The button located on the back of the panel (gateway) is the ‘learn’ button; when this is pressed the panel beeps to signify that it has been placed into ‘learn’ mode. Only the top LED is lit during this process (flashing). New devices can be registered only when the panel is in ‘learn’ mode. Press the ‘learn’ button a second time to take the panel out of ‘learn’ mode. 1. Pull and remove the battery tab from the sensor to power it up 2. Place the panel into ‘learn’ mod 3. Press and hold * and # buttons together. The panel will beep once to confirm 4. Press the learn button on the back of the panel a second time to exit ‘learn’ mode Your Keypad has now been added to your system. You can now see this device in your account on the My Equipment page. Placing your device The Keypad can be securely screwed to any suitable surface in a property, or affixed using the adhesive pads provided. Using the screws Mounting the Keypad using screws: 1. Remove the 2 slide-out sections of the front cover 2. Using the 2 mounting holes as a template, mark the hole positions in the most appropriate place 3. Drill and insert the wall plugs if fixing into a plaster or brick surface 4. Screw the Keypad into the wall plugs 5. Replace the 2 slide-out sections Additional Information Testing Before fixing the Keypad permanently in place, you should test it to ensure that it is operating normally and within communicating range of the panel. To test the Keypad:    Press the ‘learn’ button on the panel, it will beep once. Press and hold the  and  keys together until the panel beeps twice, to indicate the Keypad is registered and within range. Press the ‘learn’ button on the panel a second time, again it will beep once. If the panel does not beep as described then the sensors may be out of range or out of battery power. Try repositioning the sensors closer to the panel and test them again. Troubleshooting Q: I’ve just powered up my Keypad but how do I know it is working? A: When you first power the Keypad by removing the battery insulator tab (or adding a new battery) the sensor will power up for approximately 20 seconds. Upon powering up of your sensor you should leave it for approximately this amount of time to allow it to properly initialise. After this time you can see if the battery is working by pressing any button. If the battery is working correctly then pressing any button will light LED 1 for 5 seconds. You can test that it is registered to the panel correctly by following the above testing process. Battery The Keypad uses one CR2450 3V 540mAH lithium battery as its power source. Changing the battery 1. Dismount the Keypad from the wall 2. Open the Keypad by removing the 3 screws on the back 3. Take out the old battery, and replace with a new CR2450 3V 540mAH lithium battery in the battery compartment, with unmarked (negative) side of battery facing down as indicated 4. Press any button on the Keypad to ensure the battery is working, the Keypad will beep when any of the buttons are pressed 5. Close the case using the rear fixing screws 6. Replace or screw the Keypad back onto the surface with the mounting screws, and then re-insert the slide-out sections Status Indication If any key is pressed at normal conditions, the green “Power Active” LED will glow for 5 seconds. Status LED activation When any key is pressed Green “Power Active” LED illuminates for 5 seconds When the battery is low Orange “Fault Display” LED flashes When a signal has been sent Red “Signal Transmit” LED flashes 5 times Have you seen the complete range of products available for your MY-SERENITY system?
