Solid BASS due to BAS Amphion’s TAPS system ensures much better integration of the drivers, and TAPS creates a time-coherent point source multi-driver combination. A very low crossover of 1200 Hz together with precise voice-coil placement allows the tweeter and two 8” midrange drivers to act like one big driver, with the tweeter as the acoustical center. The U/D/D waveguide for the tweeter aligns the voice-coils, and therefore the time difference between midrange and tweeter is minimized. Much better integration is achieved even at very close distances, so one can choose the listening distance freely.
