KVM SWITCH MULTI-CONSOLE KVM SWITCHES The CS228 / CS428 allows two / four separate KVM consoles to access eight computers, either independently or on a multiuser shared basis. Any computer connected can be accessed by any console via Hot Key combinations, or by using the menu driven On Screen Display (OSD) function. Password protection is provided in order to prevent unauthorised access to the computers. Responding to the growing use of audio, these switches have built in microphone and speaker support. Because of its multiconsole design, the CS228 / CS428 can not be daisy chained to another CS228 / CS428. However it can be daisy chained to other selected models of KVM Switch for a total of up to 64 connected computers.

The 5 in 1 cables interface between any of the 8 x DB25 ports on the KVM switch and the keyboard, mouse, VGA, audio and mic port on the CPU.

Input Ports 3 and 4 of the CS428 incorporate a DB25 connector. The following 5 in 1 cables are available to connect between the DB25 connector on input port 3 or 4 and the physical monitor, keyboard, mouse or audio port.
