KW-NT300 Navigation USB/DVD Bluetooth® Multimedia Headunit with 6.1” LCD Touchscreen
The JVC KW-NT300 DVD/CD/USB In-Dash Navigation System has a 6.1" WVGA hi-res Motorized Touch Panel and essential controls, including volume, direct map, AV and menu access buttons. Built-in Bluetooth with external mic, Rear iPod/iPhone hub-compatible USB 2.0 connection for a clean look with 2-way iPod control (from the iPod or the headunit). The KW-NT300 is also an audiophile’s dream with 13-band EQ, timealignment, DSP, FLAC support and visual crossover GUI.
NAVTEQ MAPS™ and POI data provide the KW-NT300 with industry leading map and point-of-interest (POI) information at the touch of your finger. When paired with your Bluetooth® enabled phone, you can one-touch dial POIs directly from the JVC screen. Text-to-Speech technology by Nuance® provides spoken street names; no more generic “TURN LEFT IN 500FT”. Text-to-Speech is provided in English, French and Spanish. 3-Sensor GPS Technology uses GPS, Speed Sensor (VSS) and Gyro for more accurate navigation functionality. The use of 3-sensors also allows for ‘dead-reckoning’ which allows for an estimated position based on VSS and Gyro information when the GPS sensor is out of satellite range, for example when driving in downtown beside large buildings, or when going through a tunnel. S3 Data Compression and 8GB SSD Memory – With most navigation systems, common navigation functions such as route calculation/recalculation, POI lookups, scrolling and advanced features like 3D icons and landmarks usually result in you having to wait several second, or even minutes before you can interact with the system again. Using our new highspeed CPU, 8GB Solid State Drive (SSD) and JVCoriginal S3 data compression scheme, this is no longer a problem.
Super Speed Map Zoom & Scroll – With 3 different map scroll speeds, and near-instant map zoom, it is quick and easy to find exactly what you are looking for. Zoom out from your current location to a high-level country-wide view, and then zoom back in on the opposite side of the country in mere seconds. You can also scroll to your desired destination using the 3-speed scroll; near the screen edge,
map scrolling is fast, but as you approach your destination, move your finger towards the center of the screen for a more precise scroll.
Customized Routing lets you adjust the navigation routing algorithms to best suit your requirements. You can avoid toll routes, highways and ferry’s. You also select from either fastest, shortest distance, mostly freeway or avoid freeway when entering a destination in order to ensure you get where you’re going, how you want to get there. Dynamically Add Via Points in order to add destinations to your current route. The KW-NT300 will quickly recalculate the optimal route based on all via points, and provide directions accordingly. Go off the beaten path and be assured that you aren’t being taken the long-way. Adaptive Volume Control dynamically adjusts the volume of your audio based on the speed you are driving. The faster you go, the more engine and road noise, so the higher the volume will go up so that your ears hear the same level regardless of how fast you are going. This setting can be set to High, Mid, Low or Off. Junction View shows you which lane you should be in when approaching a turn or exit on the highway. This notification is done in a split-screen view with familiar looking highway signs to ensure you don’t miss your exit.
Magnified View shows you a split-screen, zoomed-in, detailed close-up view to avoid missing your turn.
3D and 2D Map Views allow you to adjust the view on the map to better suit your needs. You can select from 3D Heading-Up, 2D Heading-Up or 2D North-Up. Colour Adjustable Maps allow you to alter the visual appearance of the maps from one of 3 options for day maps and 3 different options for night maps. Day and Night views can be switched manually or automatically with your headlight dimmer switch.
3D Buildings and Landmark are shown on the 3D map view. Landmarks and buildings can be turned on or off from the menu system.
High Resolution WVGA Touchscreen provides extremely detailed maps, and text is clear, sharp and easily read. The high resolution screen also provide great picture quality for DVDs, iPod videos, MP4, WMV and AVI video files.
Brand icons for POI data provide familiar icons and brand logos to help easily see your favourite businesses.
Quick Menu on Map provides a quick link to up to 6 frequently used functions. You can select from over 40 direct links from POI lookups to audio functions to Bluetooth function and more.
Picture-in-Picture (PIP) in Map View shows you a small image of your video source directly on the map. Great for rear-view camera viewing while still on the map screen.
Off-Axis Viewing Mode provides higher contrast and better picture quality when the unit is installed at an angle.
Rear USB 2.0 connection provides extensive connectivity options for music and video files, plus devices like Blackberry®, iPod and iPhone. With the addition of a USB 2.0 hub, you can connect up to 4 compatible USB devices simultaneously.
MicroSD Card Slot on the front panel provides a convenient way to view videos and listen to music. (supports up to 32GB) Extensive File Compatibility Audio: MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV, FLAC Video: AVI (MP3/MPEG4), MP4 (AAC/h.264), WMV (WMA/WMV) Full iPod/iPhone USB support with 2-way control allows you to control audio and video directly from the headunit screen, or the iPod/iPhone device. (Video playback requires KS-U49 cable). Using a USB hub will allow you to connect up to 4 iPod/iPhone devices (note when using a USB hub, charging is disabled).
External Mode lets you enjoy the audio from all the applications on your iPod Touch or iPhone such as internet radio, games or navigation apps. If the application supports video out, such as You Tube® and Netflix®, you can also view the video directly on the KW-NT300's hi-resolution screen. NaviBridge app mode provides a simple and quick way to search for POIs as well as to enter long addresses directly from your iPhone onscreen keyboard. Once your POI or address has been entered/found in the NaviBridge app, you can send it directly to the JVC navigation unit. Iheartradio link for JVC lets you select and listen to live radio programs across the U.S. The iheartradio iPod/iPhone app offers free access to over 750 radio stations. With USB connection, the headunit features album artwork display and search screen while also charging your iPod/iPhone. (iheartradio is currently not available in Canada. Pandora app mode for iPhone allows for full access to all your created stations, as well as on-screen display of track, artist, album information including album art, plus control for play, pause, skip and THUMBS UP and THUMBS DOWN. Buttons and the volume knob can be customized from one of over 30,000 options.
Built-in Bluetooth® with External mic for excellent sound quality. Other audio sources are automatically muted when a call is being received. Once you end the call, the deck automatically returns to the previous source. If your phone supports Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP), you will always have access to the latest contacts in your phone without having to manually transfer contacts to the headunit, also important since the headunit does not store your contacts in the headunit in the unlikely event that your headunit is lost or stolen.
Bluetooth® using Simple Secure Pairing (SPP) makes the normally complicated and painstaking process of pairing a new Bluetooth® device fast and easy.
Quick Dial Presets provide quick access to 6 of your most frequently called contacts.
Bluetooth® Streaming Audio with A2DP and AVRCP 1.3 lets you wireless stream high-quality audio from your cell-phone with control and meta-data support (note your Bluetooth® device must support the transmission of metadata via Bluetooth®) Bluetooth® App Control for Smartphones will let you control compatible applications via Bluetooth® such as Pandora internet radio for compatible Blackberry® and Android devices directly from the JVC headunit. 13-band EQ lets you fully customize the sound for your car and ears simply and easily by simply dragging your finger across the screen based on your desired frequency curve.
Fully Adjustable Crossover Settings provide precise adjustments to direct specific frequencies to specific speakers based on their capabilities and your desired listening preferences. You can adjust not only the frequencies, but also the slope for the Front, Rear and Subwoofer independently. You can also see the resulting graph visually on the headunit screen.
Time Alignment and DSP features allow you to adjust the audio based on specific listening positions (Front Left, Front Right, Front All, All Seats). You can independently set speaker distances for your front left, front right, rear left, rear right and subwoofers for each of the 4 presets to ensure that the sound you hear from each speaker reaches your ears at the optimal time with no delay, just the way it was meant to be heard.
Advanced Audio Effects such as Bass Boost, Loudness, Space Enhancer, Sound Stage Elevation, Digital Track Expander, Audio Contrast and Road Noise Compensation allow you to further adjust your audio and account for environmental factors that may negatively impact the reproduction of your audio.
Source Level Adjustment allows you to individually adjust each source to normalize the volume to eliminate the volume/output level differences between sources. For example, the output level from an iPod is different from that of a CD, and without adjusting the levels, you will have to turn the volume up or down every time you switch sources.
Rear-View Camera Ready - With a universal camera input with reverse-sensor hookup, you can attach add virtually any rear-view backup camera to the KW-NT300. When you car is set into reverse, the camera's view will automatically be shown on the screen. When on the map screen, the rear-vew camera will be shown in a picture-in-picture window on top of the map screen. OE Steering Wheel Remote ready means that you can maintain your factory steering-wheel control functions (additional accessories may be required). SiriusXM satellite radio can be added with the new simplified SXV100 vehicle tuner. Triple 2.5V pre-outs (Front, Rear & Subwoofer) lets you expand your system by adding amplifiers to your system. If you choose to add subwoofer, you can control subwoofer volume & frequency control from the deck. There is also a high-pass filter to block out low frequencies which can distort audio from low-powered factory speakers. Dual AUX (Front and Rear) connections makes it easy to connect & enjoy your MP3 player. RDS compatible tuner provides genre, artist and other information on supporting FM radio stations. Please note that the broadcasting radio station must support the transmission of RDS data in order to use this feature. •
