R2 SINGLE DOOR MIRROR CABINET AM4051.x FITTING INSTRUCTIONS R2 Please retain for future reference Before you start It is recommended that all units and basins are secured to a suitably reinforced wall to ensure stability. Wall plugs supplied are only suitable for solid stone / brick wall. For plasterboard walls use specialist wall plugs, If in any doubt please consult an expert. Wear suitable eye protection when drilling. Take care when using power tools near water - the use of a residual current device (RCD) is recommended. Beware of hidden pipes or cables. Take care when drilling tiled surfaces as the drill might slip. Use a piece of masking tape to prevent the drill from wandering. 1 2 height B A Mark the location of each of the wall mounting plates ensuring that they are positioned inside the sidewalls of the unit. The height should be set such that the cabinet is at a suitable height when in use. For each mounting plate drill two holes in the marked positions using a 8mm drill bit to a depth of 55mm. Locate the hangers onto the wall mounting plates. Wall hangers not only tighten the unit against the wall (Screw A) but also offer up/down adjustment Hinge Adjustment Hinges may require adjustment for correct door alignment. This is achieved with the adjustable soft close hinges using the adjustment screws A and B (see Drawing 3). 3. A 4. B To make adjustment 1 (see Drawing 3) tighten/loosen adjustment screw A. Use a wax free polish if one must be used. For removal of lime scale deposits use a suitable proprietary cleaner Warnings Do not strike glass components with hard or pointed items. Do not place very hot or very cold items against or in close proximity to glass surfaces unless an adequately thick insulation material is used to prevent such items coming in contact with the glass. Replacement of Glass Components - BS7449 : 1991 This cabinet contains a mirrored door of nominal thickness of 5mm. Should the mirror become chipped or broken, it is not possible to replace the glass of the type described above due to the construction of the door. Contact R2 for details on obtaining a suitable replacement door quoting the the model number and batch number.
