ASSEMBLY AND BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS 1.:
Having made the decision where to erect the barbecue (it requires a strong and even base) you need approx. 135 bricks and the following material and tools to build the barbecue: 8 ... 10 kg cement 40 ... 50 kg sand water brick trowel
2.:
Place the first course of bricks in position around the three sides of the cooking grill. Score or mark their positions on the foundation.
3.:
Build six courses of normal brickwork above ground level according to the shown pattern in sketches 1 and 2.
4.:
The seventh course need to be built according to sketch 3. This course will support the charcoal grid. For the eighth course see sketch 1 and 2.
5.:
Ninth and eleventh course need to be built as shown in sketch 3. These courses will provide the lower and higher cooking grill position. Twelvth course to be built as shown in sketch 1 and 2.
6.:
After having erected the masonry barbecue and a certain period of drying and hardening you can slide the metal parts into position as shown in the exploded diagram and the assembled diagram below. To provide different cooking heights and different temperatures there are three positions for the cooking grill.

LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS 1.:
Place a layer of Landmann Charcoal (lumpwood or briquettes) in the firebowl, keeping the level below the top edge of the firebowl. Build up into a pyramid shaped pile.
2.:
Light, using Landmann Firelighters, following the instructions on the pack.
3.:
The barbecue will be ready for use in about 30 ... 40 minutes, when all flames and smoke have died down and the charcoal is covered by an even layer of grey ash. At this point spread the charcoal evenly across the firebowl. Add more charcoal if required.
4.:
Grease the cooking grill to prevent sticking.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1.:
Locate on a firm, level surface, away from combustible items such as wooden fences, shrubs, trees, sheds, and fuel tanks.
2.:
Do not use petrol, alcohol or other highly flammable liquids to light the fire.
3.:
Keep children away from the fire. An adult should always be in charge of the barbecue.
NEVER barbecue indoors or in a confined space. NEVER place on a surface which is liable to be damaged. NEVER handle or move the barbecue when it is in use or when it is still hot. Remember that the barbecue will retain ist heat even after it looks as if it has gone out. After you have finished cooking, extinguish the barbecue with sand or soil. Dispose of ashes carefully.
