Laser Programming for Hi-Lo Switch Kits with Tip Sensors
These instructions cover Laser Programming for Hi-Lo Switch Kits with Tip Sensors 6855784, 6858505, 6858310. Each of these kits consist of two lasers, a proximity switch, relay and cabling for a solenoid valve. These kits are used for automatic switching of a normally closed solenoid valve to change clamp pressure settings. Goal of System – Lasers and a proximity switch select the high pressure mode when carrying an 8 unit load or with no load (unless laser is not sighted on anything within 29 ft.). Low pressure mode is selected in all other load configurations.
SET ESC Laser
Solenoid Valve Pressure – Solenoid Light OFF = High Pressure, Light ON = Low Pressure Q1 = Switch output 1 Q2 = Switch output 2 Upper Laser Setting • Use a 7 mm wrench to reposition the laser angle to shine straight ahead. • Set laser as follows: - Mode for Q1 to window - Logic for Q1 to Q - Q1far – approx. 30 ft. from the face of the laser (approx. 9000 mm will show on the laser). • Use the wrench to reposition the lasers to shine on the floor. - Set Q1near distance to just beyond the tip of the contact pads, roughly contact pad length + 2 inches. Lower Laser Setting • Use a 7 mm wrench to reposition the laser angle to shine far away (in total distance then the point of termination on the floor). • Set laser as follows: - Mode for both Q1 and Q2 to window - Logic for both Q1 and Q2 to Q - Q1far and Q2far – approx. 30 ft. from the face of the laser (approx. 9000 mm will show on the laser). • Use the wrench to reposition the lasers to shine on the floor. - Set Q1 distance to 6 inches behind the contact pad central vertical white line (truck side of line). - Set Q2 distance to just beyond the tip of the contact pads, roughly contact pad length + 2 inches.

Proximity Switch Proximity switch light should be OFF when wide and ON when narrow. Validation of functionality 1 When handling a four pack in any configuration, the unit should be in low pressure. NOTE: In some cases a four pack of deeper product should be in high pressure. If this is not the case, set the distance Q2near to be between the back of smaller product and the back of larger product. 2 When handling a 8 pack of any product, the unit should be in high pressure. SET Setting Mode to Window 1 Press ESC two times. 2 Press SET - Display will show menu. 3 Press SET - Display will show mode. 4 Press SET 5 Use up arrow until display shows WND. 6 Press SET

Setting Q Logic 1 Press ESC two times. 2 Press SET - Display will show menu. 3 Press SET - Display will show mode. 4 Use up arrow until Q1log or Q2log shows on the display. 5 Press SET on the appropriate setting Q1log or Q2log. 6 Use up arrow until Q shows. 7 Press SET. Setting Distances 1 Press ESC 2 times. 2 Press SET - Display will show menu. 3 Press arrow to show Q1near, Q1far, Q2 near or Q2far as needed. 4 When showing Q1near, Q1far, Q2near or Q2far place a target in the desired location. 5 Press SET on the laser. 6 Light on laser will flash twice. 7 Repeat for all desired Q1 and Q2 distances.
