Lattus-X Object Storage Disk Archives for Petabyte-Scale Shared File Repositories
FEATURES AND BENEFITS Quantum Lattus™ object storage solutions offer a new, more scalable architecture with new redundancy algorithms to maintain data long-term, while allowing the efficient and immediate access required to extract the data’s maximum value at any time. Lattus solutions are built on a next-generation object storage architecture that allows disk archives to easily scale to hundreds of petabytes, and use error correction algorithms to provide far greater data durability than RAID. Lattus-X is designed for workgroups that require access to large repositories of content or large data sets. Lattus-X brings NAS access to this durable, scalable storage at a price appropriate for long-term storage. To make file access easy, files stored can be accessed via CIFS, NFS or through the native HTTP REST. To make file access fast, Lattus A10 access nodes are built with a 12TB disk cache and an in-memory cache for predictably fast ingest and retrieval times. The Lattux-X base system scales easily by adding storage and control nodes. Nodes and controllers can be added over multiple sites, further increasing data durability and recoverability options. The base system supports up to 400 million files, and can be extended by adding access nodes. With Lattus-X your team members can access content or data files from the repository quickly and easily and you can be assured the files will be there with minimal oversight or maintenance.
