LED Display Panels W ho doesn’t like having a big display? For work on a computer or watching TV or playing video games, bigger displays are always the best. The LED Display Panels that we are examining this month are a bit large for a single person to view in a home. These display systems are designed for large displays to play video for the masses. Among the options to consider when choosing an LED display system for your next event or tour is the distance between the viewing audience and the
screen. That determines how tight the pixel pitch should be (the distance between the LEDs, measured in millimeters — mm). At long distances, a larger, lower-resolution and higher pixel-pitch screen may be your best bet; at closer distances, you might be able to get away with a smaller screen, but it should have a smaller pixel pitch and higher resolution for imagery to look sharp. as a curved screen — either convex (to grab more peripheral attention) or concave (to create more of an immersive video environment). If you’re looking to create a cool-looking effect with beams blasting through screens, you’ll need a semi-transparent option. This month we list a sampling of LED display systems from different manufacturers. You won’t find the contents of each company’s multi-page catalog on our two-page chart, however. For additional information on each company’s

Also be sure to check out how these LED displays look in a real-world setting — at a manufacturer’s demo, showroom or road show, or at a big trade event like LDI 2013, which is coming to Las Vegas Nov. 22-24.
