LEICA SR510 Survey Receiver 12 Channels, L1 Code and Phase Everything you need… Cost-effective solution to GPS surveying Field-data acquisition with the TR500 terminal Easy to operate with or without a terminal Easily upgradeable Investment guaranteed The SR510 is the singlefrequency unit in Leica Geosystems’ new range of System 500 GPS receivers. Rugged, versatile, lightweight and very easy-to use, the 12-channel SR510 with SKI-Pro L1 software provides an easy, affordable entry to GPS surveying and a cost-effective solution for many applications. The terminal with its large, clear, quick-response display and full-alphanumeric keyboard is designed for fielddata acquisition with the input of point numbers, antenna heights, and even codes and attributes. Satellite-tracking, receiver, recording, power-supply status and other information are all displayed. The SR510 tracks satellites and records data on power up, so it can even be used without a terminal for static and rapid static surveys. Leica Geosystems’ System 500 series, receivers and software, can be upgraded easily at any time. O N B O A R D ClearTrak ™ technology Leica Geosystems’ new ClearTrak chip is at the heart of the SR510. ClearTrak provides the best possible signal-to-noise ratios, resistance to jamming and multipath mitigation. With ClearTrak, you can be sure of rapid satellite acquisition and reliable satellite tracking down to lowelevation angles even in adverse conditions. C/A and precision code All the accuracy you need The SR510 with both narrow correlator C/A-code and precision code provides all the measurements you need for single-frequency GPS surveying: highaccuracy carrier phase for centimeter-level work, precise pseudoranges for 30cm differential. Multipath suppressed As a result of a new mitigation technique that reduces the influence of multipath to almost negligible levels, the accuracy of code measurements (pseudoranges) is far higher than with other receivers. The terminal can be used to configure the receiver as well as to define measuring and recording sequences according to an individual’s requirements. Most users will find it convenient to have at least one TR500 terminal with each set of SR510 receivers. Three LED’s indicate satellite tracking, recording and battery status. For use at remote sites, the receiver can be set to power up, track and record, and automatically power down at preset times. Measuring sequences can be repeat programmed as often as required. Invest in the SR510 today for your current singlefrequency requirements knowing that it can be upgraded at any time to the SR520 dual-frequency receiver or to the SR530 dual-frequency, real-time receiver. With Leica Geosystems’ clearly-defined upgrade path, your investment is ‘future’ guaranteed. SR530 Dual-frequency geodetic RTK receiver Two-level operating system The two-level, menu-driven operating system gives you the choice of Standard Mode for first time users and normal work or Advanced Mode for experienced users and demanding applications. Standard Mode is so easy you will be up and running immediately. Function keys and userdefinable keys facilitate multi-tasking with fast panel changes and instant selection of functions. The onboard HELP provides information and guidance at the touch of a key. UPGRADE SR520 Dual-frequency geodetic receiver Versatile connections The terminal can be plugged directly into the receiver or connected to it by a cable. It can be held in the hand, or attached to a pole. Whatever the measuring mode or application, both the receiver and terminal are extremely easy to use. UPGRADE SR510 Single-frequency survey receiver …And much more! Modular hardware Wherever, whenever and however you want it For static and rapid-static Either hook the receiver on the tripod leg, or leave it operating in the case. With 30cm DGPS accuracy and advanced data-acquisition capabilities, the SR510 is the ideal tool for professional GIS applications. For stop & go and kinematic Either use the mini-pack, or have everything on the pole. If you prefer minimum weight in your hand, put the antenna and terminal on the pole and the SR510 in the mini-pack. Total flexibility Use the SR510 however, wherever and whenever you want, depending on your work requirements and preferences: • On a tripod for static an rapid static • On a pole for stop & go and kinematic • With a mini-pack for GIS • On a boat for hydrographic • On a vehicle for kinematic • On a pillar at a reference station What do you want? We asked our customers, “how accurate do you want?” and they told us... This accurate... The SR510 can do it! And if you want more, check out the SR520 and SR530. If you prefer reduced cable connections, you can have everything on the pole: the antenna and SR510 with the plugged-in TR500 terminal. Single-frequency GPS For a wide range of applications Centimeter and 30cm accuracies Depending on measuring modes and applications The SR510 supports a range of GPS surveying techniques. The methods used for a project will depend on the requirements and accuracies needed. Processing is carried out with SKI-Pro L1 software. Static and rapid static: 5 to 10mm + 2ppm rms For control surveys, traversing and triangulation The SR510 single-frequency receiver is particularly suited for control, triangulation, traverse and photo-control surveys, especially when lines are of short or medium length and observation times are of sufficient duration. With ambiguities resolved, baseline accuracies of 5 to 10mm + 2ppm (root mean square) for static measurements can be achieved in post processing. Stop & go and kinematic: 10 to 20mm + 2ppm rms For detail and topographic surveys After a static or known-point initialization, stop & go and kinematic surveys can be carried out in a moving mode. Data are recorded and detail points time tagged. SKI-Pro L1 handles the processing. Dynamic methods with post processing are often used for detail, topographic and engineering surveys, particularly in open areas where it is easy to maintain lock to the satellites. Differential code: 30cm rms For GIS mapping, exploration, hydrographic, and boundary surveys For many applications an easy robust technique that provides positions to half-a-meter or better is all that is needed. With its high-accuracy code measurements, the SR510 fits this requirement perfectly. Field measurements and processing are very easy. For static observations, simply set up at the point, switch on, and record satellite data for a couple of minutes. Then switch off and move to the next point. Process the data with SKI-Pro L1 to give positional accuracies as high as 30 cm (rms). For kinematic, leave the receiver tracking and recording and move continuously along the required route. Time-tag points for detail and topographic surveys. Losses of satellite lock are less critical than with kinematic carrier-phase techniques. Positional accuracies of well within half a meter are achievable for trajectories and individual points. Versatile power supply and data recording Built tough for field use Precision-centered antenna The AT501 antenna is small, lightweight and precision centered. This L1 antenna with built-in groundplane complements the SR510 ensuring reliable satellite tracking and high measuring accuracy. Orientation is not required for normal work. PCMCIA flash cards For unlimited data storage Small, lightweight, rugged and reliable For data recording, simply insert a PCMCIA card into the slot of the SR510. These cards are the most versatile and flexible data-storage medium. They can be changed when full and sent back to the office while the receiver is in use in the field. Data transfer to the PC is extremely fast and efficient. The SR510 survey receiver is small, compact and weighs only 1.15kg. Two plug-in batteries weigh 0.7 kg; the antenna, 0.35 kg; the terminal, 0.4 kg. Cards of 8MB, 16MB and 85MB are available. A 8MB card holds 480 hours of 15-second 5-satellite L1 data. An 85MB PCMCIA flash card can store months of static data and is ideal for kinematic work. Recording rates are selectable from 0.1 to 60 seconds. Optional internal memory Although most users prefer PCMCIA cards for recording data, the SR510 can be fitted with an internal memory of 8MB or 16MB if required. The entire equipment is light, easy to carry and ideal for use in the field. As with all Leica Geosystems surveying products, the SR510 receiver, antenna and all accessories are designed to withstand continuous use in the toughest environments with extremes of temperature and weather. Whether you work in heat, cold, rain, dust or snow, you can rely on the SR510. Plug-in batteries Equipment case The power supply has been designed with the field surveyor in mind. Two Camcorder batteries plug directly into the receiver. Batteries can be changed during operation, and as the power consumption is only 5W, two plug-in batteries will power the SR510 continuously for about 7.5 hours. For continuous measurements at reference stations or in case of emergency, the SR510 can be powered from an external 12V battery or power source. The receiver, antenna, power supply, terminal and accessories pack into one small, easy-to-carry case. This foam-padded case can be used both as a shipping container and as a protection during field work. For static measurements, put the antenna on the tripod and either hook the receiver on the tripod leg or leave it operating in the case.
