Alware Accessory Carry Bag and with the Parts Stand Assembly Parts Main Body Assembly X-Mounting Unit Battery Holder Hexagon Screw Driver (1.5mm and 2.0mm) and Spare Parts 3 Handle Unit Equipment Required To Operate DSLR Camera 3S 11.1V 2200mAh (or above) Lipo with XT-60 Connector 3 Channel Radio and Receiver (Optional) 4 STEP 1: Stand Assembly Insert the Stand Lower Parts Secure the Stand Lower Parts by Tighten one screw. Around 265mm Insert the Stand Upper Parts 5 Adjust the position to be Parallel. Secure the Stand Upper Part by Tighten one Screw 6 Complete Assembly of Stand Unit STEP 2: Gimbal Assembly Put the Main Body Assembly as shown. Take off four Mounting Screws. Release the Upper Handle of the Handle Unit. Insert the Main Cable through the hole. Secure the Handle Unit to the Yaw Motor with 4pcs Screws. Plug the 5-wires Cable to the Joystick. 7 Install back the Upper Handle. Put the Gimbal on the Stand. Release four Screws from the Battery Holder. Insert that four Screws to the frame as Shown. Secure the Battery Holder. Tighten your Battery to the Gimbal before move on to next step. 8 STEP 3: Gimbal Balancing – Pitch Axis Balancing the Center of Gravity (CG) for a Brushless Gimbal is extremely import. The more accurate the CG, the better the gimbal performance will be. Balancing require experience and time, so be patient. Before start Balancing the Gimbal, make sure your Camera has all accessory(e.g. Battery, SD Card etc.) installed. Secure your Camera completely. Adjust the Camera to the middle position and lock it by the Position Lock. Loosen two Screws (Hold the Camera at the same time) Adjust the Camera to be closer to the Gimbal Frame. Keep in 90 Degree angle before tighten the Screws. 9 Tighten these Screws. Holding the Side Fame of the Gimbal. Tilt the Camera in about 45 degrees. Camera should remain steady there when you release you hand when the CG is correct. Loosen total 8pcs Screws as to adjust the UpDown position of the camera if the CG is not correct. (Hold the Camera at the same time) Adjust the Camera (Up/ Down) and tighten 8pcs Screws again. Test the CG again in about 45 degrees. Repeat the previous Steps if the CG is still not accurate. (Be Patient Here) 10 Tighten all 8pcs Screws when the CG is well tuned. Make sure the Camera Plate is always set to be 90 degree (right angle). 11 Test the CG again with more angles. Camera should remain steady in any angle if the CG is set correctly. STEP 5: Gimbal Balancing – Roll Axis Loosen these 2 Screws. (Hold the Camera at the same time) Tighten these 2 Screws. Adjust the Roll Assembly to Left/ Right as to balance the CG. Set it to be Parallel before tighten the Screws. Test if the Roll Axis is balanced well. The Roll Test on about 45 degree. Camera should Assembly(with Camera) should always remain remain steady if the CG is correct. Repeat the steady in any Angle if it has correct CG. previous steps to get the correct CG. (Be Patient Here) 12 Test again in another position. Test again in another position. 13 Test again in another position. STEP 6: Gimbal Balancing – Yaw Axis Rotate the Gimbal Main Assembly as to Parallel to the Handle Bar. Loosen these 2 Screws before the adjustment. Tilt the Handle Unit to test if the Yaw Axis has Adjust the Gimbal in this direction if the CG is correct CG. The Camera should remain steady not correct. if the CG is correct. Test again in the oppose position. Repeat the previous steps if the CG is not correct. (Be Patient Here) 14 Set the Gimbal Main Assembly to be around 45 degree. Tilt the Handle, the Camera should remain steady if the CG is correct. If not, loosen these 2 screws and do the adjustment. Tighten the Screws and test again. The Camera should remain steady if it got the correct CG position. If not, repeat the previous steps and for the adjustment again. (Be Patient Here) 15 Adjust the CG by given a small rotation of the assembly. STEP 7: Power On and Controling Place the Gimbal on the Stand and set to this recommended position. Connect the 3S 11.1V Battery to the Gimbal and wait around 3-5 seconds for the initialization. Prepare a 3 Channels Raido and Receiver if you want to have wireless control of the gimbal. Connect the Wireless Control Cable to the Receiver. Gimbal is now controllable by the Joystick. Operation Modes could be refer to: Operation Video Beside then the Joystick, you are able to control the Gimbal with the Mobile App too. 3-wires Cable: Control Lock and Follow Mode 16 (Connet to any 2-way or 3-way switch channel) Blue wire: Control Yaw movement Green wire: Control Pitch movement STEP 8: Converting to Aerial Mode Before Converting to Aerial Mode, main sure your Gimbal is entered in the Mode 4. When the Gimbal is powered on, Press 4 times of the Joystick as to enter to Mode 4. Now you can turn off the Gimbal and convert it to an Aerial Mode easily. Push the Joystick Release the Upper Handle. Release the 4 Mounting Screws. Take off the Handle Unit. Prepare the X-Mounting Unit Insert the Main Cable through the hole of Xmounting. Secure the X-Mounting with 4 Screws. (Apply Little Thread-Locker to the Screws.) 17 Connect the RC Control Cable to three channels of your Receiver. 3-wires Cable: Control Lock and Follow Mode Complete assembly in Aerial Mode. (Connet to any 2-way or 3-way switch channel) Blue wire: Control Yaw movement Green wire: Control Pitch movement 18 Installing on Cyclone X8/ DJI S800/ 1000 multicopters. STEP 9: Gimbal Tuning Software Specification for the 32 bits SimpleBGC Camera Stabilizer System with [Lensman-Pro Gimbal]: Board: version 3.0 Firmware: v2.42 b7 (Can be upgraded via the GUI software easily!) Tuning Software: SimpleBGC GUI v2.42b7 Input Voltage: 11.1V 3S Lipo with XT-60 Connector (for the Default Setting) Default PID and Power Setting suitable for: DSLR Camera with Lens 0.8-1.4kg (Remarks: For other camera out of this range will need to have different PID setting.) How to connect to the computer? Step 1. Download the newest software for 32 bits Controller e.g. “ SimpleBGC_GUI_2_42b7.zip ” at the official website http://www.basecamelectronics.com/downloads/32bit/ Step 2. Connect the Gimbal Control Board to the computer. No battery is needed at the moment. Wait for around 1-2 mins for the driver to be installed automatically. When the driver has been installed successfully, you will get a notice from your computer. If your computer fail to install the Driver automatically, download the driver here and install it manually: http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/pages/usbtouartbridgevcpdrivers.aspx 19 Step 3. Run the GUI Software (2_42b7): SimpleBGC_GUI_2_42b7 → SimpleBGC_GUI(.exe) Step 1. Run the GUI.exe Software Step 2. Select the correct COM, then click Connect Step 3. If the Connection is successful, you will see the current firmware. Before start tuning the gimbal, select the specific Profile (mean the Mode) and click “Write” button. As to save your new parameters, always click the “WRTE” button. Remarks: As to understand the working principle of PID/ other specific tuning, you can refer to the offical manual of the Gimbal Controller: SimpleBGC_32bit_manual_2_42_eng.pdf 20 STEP 10: Firmware Upgrade Step 1 Step 2 Step 3. Step 4. You can Input your email (Optional) Step 5. Step 6. Wait for Upgrading 21 Step 7. Wait for Upgrading Step 9. Now you can see the updated Firmware of your Gimbal Controller. Step 8.
