Security When deployed in conjunction with a UPS, Leviton Midspans provide reliable backup power to your 802.3af compliant networked devices. In the event of a power outage or natural disaster, Leviton Midspans can maximize UPS benefits, by providing centralized backup power to mission critical devices such as IP phones. LED indicators offer real-time network information on the front panel and can indicate normal, over-load, or short-circuit conditions. You can also view the system status remotely utilizing the web management tool. Easy To Deploy Available in 1-, 6-, and 24-ports, Leviton PoE Midspans connect to and power 802.3af compliant Ethernet equipment such as VoIP phones, WAPS, IP video cameras, and IP clocks without the need for an external power supply. This saves time and the expense of running AC to each networked device while also simplifying needed changes to the network infrastructure. Supports Existing Networks Connected between the switch and the patch panel, Leviton PoE Midspans allow for easier network upgrades without creating the need to invest in a new switch with PoE capability. The Midspans promote efficient use of available PoE ports and are capable of providing PoE power in 10/100 Base-T network environments. Additionally, 6- and 24-port Midspans future proof your network and are capable of supporting 1000 Base-T (Gigabit) networks, providing the necessary bandwidth to support VoIP phone deployment, while maintaining the integrity of your existing network.
