Introduction • The HB954PB delivers a full surround sound experience in a combination of two tallboys and two satellites, along with a front subwoofer. Despite the full package, the system is easy to install and is less intrusive. • LG’s HB954PB offers Pure HD Sound that is as vivid and natural as true life. LG worked with high-end audio guru Mark Levinson, who personally tuned the system to give it an even better sound. • The HB954PB supports a wide range of formats from Blu-ray discs to DVD, CD playback . The true home entertainment is made possible with the outstanding sound and picture quality thanks to LG’s Blu-ray leadership in the market. • A number of connectors including direct iPod docking, USB and an optical input greatly increase the entertainment possibilities. In addition, LG HB954PB can connect to any multimedia devices, from game consoles to IP TVs, via 2 HDMI inputs. • It converts standard DVDs into Full HD1080p via HDMI up-scaling, plays DivX, MP3, CD, JPEG and WMA files via USB. • LG HB954PB is a recipient of a 2009 International CES Innovations Award.
Blu-ray Player • LG’s HB954PB is a truly innovative, yet stylish Blu-ray disc player, offering an expanded list of multimedia, including Blu-ray discs, DVD files and, even, Divx. • It offers a completely different dimension of picture quality in all media playback.
Pure HD Sound • LG HB954PB collaborates with the high-end audio expert Mark Levinson to offer pure HD sound that is as vivid as original performance available in high-end audio. It is the perfect feature for full entertainment, lossless even with complex pieces. • LG reproduces all kinds of music or movie faithfully and clearly so that listeners can become fully immersed in their content.
HD Audio • With HB954PB, you can enjoy sound quality performed and directed in real time scenes (intended by directors and producers). • LG’s HB954PB supports multi-channel sound format that is compatible to put out through a variety of channels. • It also supports two-way mixing and streaming even in high-quality systems. • Advanced lossless multi-channel audio codec is developed by Dolby Laboratories which is intended primarily for high-definition home entertainment equipment such as Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. These features carry up to 14 discrete sound channels. • In addition, Dolby Digital Plus offers more quality, channels and flexibility. HB954PB with Dolby True HD further supports lossless coding technology at the maximum of 18Mbps bit rate, providing the pictureperfect sound.

BD Live • The body of the HB954PB Blu-ray home cinema system connects directly to the internet and enables access to the film manufacturer’s website. • At the website, you can enjoy a wide variety of activities pertaining to the movie or read details about the movie and even store the content to a USB for usage outside home. • BD Live supports networking, making possible stre aming and downloading of motion pictures by con necting to web servers

Full HD Up-scaling • The system provides 1280x720 progressive (720p), 1920x1080 interlaced (1080i), and 1920x1080 progressive (1080p) in addition to the standard DVD resolution, so you can enjoy everything from DVDs to Full HD movies. • What was originally either SD or HD image can be transformed into Full HD (1920 x 1080) high quality image via HDMI. • Through the up-scaling process in the HB954PB, an image with lower resolution requires corrections due to noises and blurring coming from the original image. • By using silicon image HDMI 1.3 chip through the HDMI Input, HB954PB supports. • Full HD 50/60Hz up-scaling and 1080p 24Hz playback.
