® linx-Audio Bluetooth® Range 101-317 - BT120 Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver www.ness.com.au INSTALLATION MANUAL A A Power adapter USB output B Mini USB to USB lead C 3.5mm to RCA audio lead D Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver B D C Hardware Connection 25 m 1. Connect one 3.5mm end of the audio lead C to the jack of the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver D . 25 m 2. Connect the RCA end of the audio lead C to the input on your home stereo system. 3. Connect the antenna to the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver D . 4. Connect the mini USB to USB lead B to the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver D and the AC power adapter A . Plug the AC adapter into a wall power outlet. 5. The LED will turn on (constant blue light) indicating the Receiver is powered and is now ready to be paired to your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or other Bluetooth enabled device. Initial pairing to your Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver * Example provided is to pair to an iPad or iPhone only. Please refer to equipment user manual for pairing of other Bluetooth enabled devices Step 1 From your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch home page select ‘Settings’ Step 2 Inside Settings, select ‘General’ Step 3 Inside General, select ‘Bluetooth’ Step 4 Turn Bluetooth ‘ON’ and search for devices. Select the ‘resi-linx’ device ID resi-linx When connected, the blue LED on the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver will flash slowly, returning to a constant blue LED whenever the connection is lost. Refer to website http://www.resi-linx.com for separate instructions on how to conveniently rename your Bluetooth resi-linx device ID to identify different zones eg. kitchen, living, outdoor etc. NB. When connected adjust Treble, Bass & Level controls on the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver to suit your personal preference. Disconnecting/Changing Connected Device If you want to switch from your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or other Bluetooth enabled device to another, follow these steps: 1. Access the Bluetooth settings (as above) and turn the Bluetooth function to ‘OFF’ of the device. 2. The Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver can now be connected to a different device. 3. Follow the directions in “Initial pairing to your Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver” to connect a different device. Reconnecting Your Device If you move out of range** (>25m) or turn off the Bluetooth function on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or other Bluetooth enabled device, the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver will disconnect. To reconnect, simply access the Bluetooth settings on your device, ensuring Bluetooth function is set to ‘ON’ and select the resi-linx device ID. ** The communication range quoted is calculated based on an unobstructed line of sight test under optimum conditions. Actual range will vary depending on conditions, and is often less than the maximum possible. Solutions Ensure home stereo system settings are set correctly for input selection, volume level and speaker selection. Ensure the volume on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or other Bluetooth enabled device is set to a suitable level. Ensure the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver is powered and the blue LED is on. Ensure the blue LED on your Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver on and is flashing slowly indicating your device is connected via Bluetooth technology. Ensure your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or other Bluetooth enabled device is within the 25m range of the Receiver. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the Receiver and your Bluetooth enabled device. Ensure the audio lead is correctly and firmly connected to the Receiver and the stereo. Ensure the mini USB to USB lead is correctly and firmly connected to the power adapter and the Professional Bluetooth Audio Receiver.
