KG Additional information about Siemens optiPoint Handset: optiPoint handset has built in loud-hearing/hands free speaking mode. Due to the power supply over the PC's USB port, the optiPoint handset's volume is adjustable to a restricted extent. Therefore the hands free speaking feature of the optiPoint handset will not be released. Problems with USB- Audio device operation, e.g. one-way (single-sided) voice communication, could be caused by an incorrect USB-driver in the Windows system. Make sure that the correct USB-driver for your motherboard (Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/”Hardware” Tab/”Device Manager” Button/USB controller) is installed. Siemens optiPoint handset from version 2.3 The following problem occurs from time to time when using an optiPoint handset at an optiClient 130: The application accesses the sound device (z.B. MixerSetVolume). The application is blocked during this access. In other words, no other work is possible with this application. The currently supplied devices do not have this fault. Terminals not suffering from this fault are characterized by a screened USB cable (6 pins seized instead of 4 pins) and a serial number 3003xxx or 3002xxx as well as the label SW V2.2! For a replacement, please see KMOSS: INF-03-000674. (Siemens internal!) USB Port restriction The voltage for optiPoint handset is supported via the USB Port of the PC. Depending on the used Chip, the PC manufacturer can not guarantee the necessary voltage so that the USB connection can be lost. In these cases a USB power hub is required. Please note the additional information: From optiClient 130 V5.1 (Build 5.1.183.000) and optiClient 130 S V4.0 (Build 4.0.183.000), the optiPoint handset is not longer released in general! There is also no release in combination with OpenScape Clients. Audio Devices for optiClient 130 and OpenScape Clients 5 Status 09/2008 Siemens Enterprise Communications GmbH & Co. KG Usage of video cameras: For usage of video cameras in combination with our optiClient 130 S, please choose a USB camera with a minimum of 1.3 Megapixels. Please check for your camera also the compatibility to the used operating system and ensure that the newest drivers are installed.
