LKV373IR HDMI Extender via LAN Break distance barriers to extend HDMI signals over TCP/IP using Cat5e/6 cable
OVERVIEW
The LENKENG LKV373IR HDMI over TCP/IP Extender Kit multicasts digital video and audio signals to one or more receivers up to 120m away using CAT6 cable. Each Kit consists of a transmitter unit that is connected to an HDMI source, and a receiver unit connected to an HDMI display. The TX and RX units can be connected together for a Point-to-Point connection via CAT5e/6 cable or a Point-to-Multipoint connection via a network switch/router. Support for multiple transmitters requires a managed network switch.
FEATURES
Designed to convert HDMI signals to TCP/IP protocol Supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p and computer resolutions to 1920x1200 Uses M-JPEG technology to process image compression on a fixed bandwidth Ideal solution for commercial and residential AV systems, classroom projector systems, digital signage, boardroom systems, collaborative PC systems, medical information systems, etc. Multicasting and broadcasting architecture, adding more displays without adding LAN bandwidth Transmits an HDMI signal over one CAT5e/6 cable Plug-and-Play installation allows Receivers to find the Transmitters automatically on the same subnet, (Network configuration may be required for managed network switch) Web interface for changing IP addresses, SW updates and resetting units to factory default settings Easily expandable. Add remote units as you add monitors Supports 10/100 Ethernet connection With IR Control function, it allows you control back the source at the end of destination Support for multiple transmitters requires a managed network switch with VLAN/IGMP support, (Standard LAN switches can only support one transmitter) • The managed switch must support port based IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, IGMP, and permit duplicate IP addresses across the VLAN domains • Each VLAN acts as a separate HDMI over IP Channel on the network • Number of TX and RX units that can be used is dependent on the backplane bandwidth of the switch • Support cascading Ethernet Switches up to 3 layers. Each receiver can be located up to 100m away
NOTE! If a non-managed switch is used for a point-to-multipoint connection, it is not recommended to use other network devices on the same switch as it may cause degradation in performance.

APPLICATION Point-to-Point Connection Connect directly by single CAT5e/6 cable up to 120 meters
Point-to-Multipoint Connection Connect by Ethernet Switch/Router; LKV373IR can be upgraded to HDMI Splitter + CAT5e/6 Extender. Principally, up to 253pcs receivers can be connected. It depends on the working network bandwidth and working environment including the cable quality, HDMI cable quality, HDMI video quality, etc.

HOW TO SETUP TX & RX UNITS Each TX and RX unit is embedded by an HTTP server. You can setup IP address, Subnet mask, and MAC address for HDMI extenders via web browser. Product factory setting by default LKV373IR-TX IP address is 192.168.168.55, and MAC address is 00:0b:78:00:60:01 LKV373IR-RX IP address is 192.168.168.56, and MAC address is 00:0b:78:00:60:02 Step 1: Assign the PC (or laptop) IP address on the computer: Control Panel → Network Connections → Local Area Connections Status → Properties → Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Type in IP address field 192.168.168.X (0-255) and Subnet mask the 255.255.255.0. After that press OK to save the configuration. Please note: The IP address of PC should be different from the IP address of TX and RX. Step 2: Use an Ethernet Cable to connect the PC (or laptop) and the extender. Step 3: Ping the connected device through the sequence on computer: Start → Run → input ‘’CMD’’ → input ‘’ping 192.168.168.55’’ for TX or input ‘’ping 192.168.168.56’’ for RX, you will receive the reply if the connection is established. Step 4: Type in IE address field the 192.168.168.55 (default IP for TX) or 192.168.168.56 (default IP for RX) and enter into control page. Click ‘’System’’ on the page left menu bar, then you can setup IP address, Subnet mask, and MAC address for each TX and RX. NOTE! One TX to many RX or many TX to many RX, IP and MAC address must be different. Modify TX and all RX units for a different IP and MAC address in LAN (Local Area Network) to avoid conflict! Example: One TX connected to many RX units in Local Area Network: Device name IP address Subnet mask MAC address TX 192.168.168.55 255.255.255.0 00:0b:78:00:60:01 RX1 192.168.168.56 255.255.255.0 00:0b:78:00:60:02 RX2 192.168.168.58 255.255.255.0 00:0b:78:00:60:04 RX3 192.168.168.60 255.255.255.0 00:0b:78:00:60:06 RX4 192.168.168.62 255.255.255.0 00:0b:78:00:60:08 RX5 192.168.168.64 255.255.255.0 00:0b:78:00:60:10 MAC address is the identifier for every site of internet and it consists of 6 bytes. The first three bytes (00:0b:78:00:60:02) refer to different factories and the last three bytes (00:0b:78:00:60:02) are assigned by users. MAC address is consisting of figures (0~9) and letters (a~f). We suggest to users not to change the first three bytes. The last three bytes can be changed accordingly. Step 5: After click “Apply” button into control page, you have successfully setup IP address, Subnet mask, and MAC address for TX and RX. NOTE! If you need to restore the device to its factory default settings, please power on the device, wait about 10 seconds and then press the button in the hole beside HDMI port, for 5~10 seconds. You have now successfully restored the device to factory default settings.
