3E LOG PERIODIC DIPOLES TRANSMIT-RECEIVE LINEARLY POLARIZED LPD series antennas are linearly polarized medium gain, log periodic antennas for broadband applications. The LPD’s high quality aluminum construction with all stainless steel hardware results in lightweight and high strength antennas for fixed, mobile and tactical systems. Also available are low-profile LPD's constructed on copper-clad dielectric material. These antennas exhibit the same performance as our other antennas, but provide a cost-effective solution for low power transmit and receiveonly applications. LPD-220/A5 LPD series antennas intended for tactical applications are designed for quick assembly and disassembly in the field, with minimal or no tools. The “V” configuration LPV series log periodic antennas give greater power gain than that obtainable with a planar log-periodic antenna of the same length and taper. The short lengths of LPV series antennas restrict the movement of the active region as a function of frequency to a relatively small volume. These antennas also provide symmetric beams in the field planes and can be used as feeds for reflectors. LPA series antennas are high gain arrays comprised of two or more linearly polarized log periodic elements. Array antennas operating below 400 MHz are packaged in a kit form for compactness and ease of transportation. LCV-0520 LPC-3100 DUAL POLARIZED LPC series antennas comprise two planar log periodic structures in perpendicular to each other on a common axis. Standard LPC antennas have two orthogonal linear polarizations (H & V) and are supplied with two output connectors. Optional hybrids can be supplied to provide dual circular polarizations (RHCP & LHCP). Switch assemblies and switch control units are available for use with LPC antennas to select the desired polarization. LCV series pyramidal shaped log periodic antennas are dual linearly polarized versions of our LPV series linearly polarized antennas. LCV antennas can be used as broadband dual polarized feeds for reflectors with F/D ratios in the 0.4 to 0.55 range. These can be supplied with optional hybrids for circular polarization and with switch control networks. 1 LPA-820/8 LCV-0107 WWW.ARA-INC.COM Telephone Fax [email protected] 1-301-937-8888 1-877-ARA-SALE 1-301-937-2796 (MD) 1-781-829-4590 (MA) LOG PERIODIC DIPOLES TRANSMIT-RECEIVE 3E LCA series high gain arrays include two or more dual polarized log periodic antenna elements. All dual polarized antennas and array antennas may be supplied with a compatible hybrid to receive/transmit circularly polarized signals. Collapsible Log Periodic antennas: LCA-2240/9 Log periodic antennas operating in HF and VHF band can be relatively large structures. ARA’s LPD antennas operating below 300MHz are design to collapse in smaller sections for mobile and semi- permanent applications. These antennas can be easily assembled and disassembled in the field with minimal tools. LPD-220/10 is designed for use indoors in a test laboratory environment. Its polarization can be adjusted from horizontal to vertical or anything in between. It is capable of handling RF power of 10 KW CW. LPD-220/A5 LPD-220/G is a vertically polarized antenna designed for military and tactical application, available in OD green color. LPD-3100/C3000 antenna is designed for use outside and in military applications. The antenna polarization can be horizontal or vertical. The linear polarization is easily adjustable with optional polarization rotator MRP-3100. MRP – 3100 MRP-3100, a manual polarization and tilt adjustment unit for use with LPD-3100/C3000. This unit allows antenna polarization to be adjusted from horizontal to vertical (or vice versa) using a set of ropes and pulley mechanism. The rope is long enough to allow mounting of the antenna on a mast height up to 60 feet. A second set of ropes allow to adjust the mechanical boresight tilt angle from 0° (horizontal) to up to -25°. LPD – 3100/C3000 and MRP-3100 Assembly Special Applications LPC-0105 is reduced in size and weight relative to a regular cross log periodic antenna with similar gain and operating from 100 to 500MHz. LPC-0105 can handle input RF power levels in excess of 2500W. It is optimized for high attitude, airborne and military applications. The primary objective in designing these antennas has been to minimize the time required to deploy and store the antenna in the field, with minimal or no tools. All elements are spring loaded and/or tethered to ensure assembly and teardown quickly. Most log periodic antennas operating down to 100MHz collapse into small, easy to carry dielectric tubes which are used for storage and transportation. The center mount is designed for either polarization (vertical or horizontal). The short antenna mast can be mounted on a tripod with ¼ - 20 stud. These antennas are anodized for corrosion protection and have stainless steel hardware. They are available in black or olive drab green. The LPD-3100-C2756 is a vertically polarized log periodic antenna operating in a frequency range from 30MHz to 1000MHz. The assembled antenna’s outermost dimensions are about 17 feet long and 16.5 feet wide. This collapsible design can be disassembled and reassembled in the field, with minimum tools, by 2 persons in <20 minutes. Special design considerations are employed to improve the mechanical durability of the antenna. All antenna elements are captivated to the antenna boom sections by tethers to prevent individual elements from being lost and to minimize overall assembly time.
