Model: LWBR-series Lowell Wall-mount Rack with Base Description: The E.I.A.-compliant LWBR is a pivoting cabinet that provides solid support and convenient access to equipment loaded in wall-mount applications. The cabinet swings open easily using a single-release loop-style grasp with slam-latch closure. It pivots smoothly on stainless steel ball transfers set into the base. The base provides additional 4 rack units for electronic equipment or optional utility drawer. Open top features integral rack rail with E.I.A. spacing to support optional 19" E.I.A. fan panels. Key-lock on front secures cabinet to backbox while allowing side-by-side installations. Welded 16-gauge steel construction is finished with beveled corners and a durable black wrinkle powder epoxy paint. Front doors for cabinet and base are optional. Features: • • • • • Backbox: 4.69" deep backbox mounts on 16" centers and features a large central cutout. Includes safety chain leashed to cabinet. Base: Stainless steel ball transfers in base allow cabinet to pivot smoothly under a 500 lb. load. Base includes two access panels (top and front). By removing the front panel you gain an additional 4 rack units of space. Cabinet: Pivots 90-degrees for access to equipment connections. Right-hinged swing can be changed to the left using internal spring-loaded hinges. Sides are vented at top and bottom. Vents have notches to mount optional single-fan kit. Cable Management: Removable knockout panel on top of backbox features (.5") knockouts for wireless antennae and combination knockouts (.75"-.5" and 1.5"-1") for conduit. Top: Top opening with integral E.I.A. rail accommodates standard 19" fan panels. The two solid panels used as shipping stiffeners can also be used to close the top. Adjustable Mounting Rails: Includes one-pair of adjustable mounting rails that feature a dual-pattern on E.I.A. spacing. Rails are mounted with 10-32 holes exposed and can be field-reversed to access square punches for cage nuts with 10-32, 12-24 or 6mm screws. Rails also have an imprinted scale to aid equipment installation. In addition, rails are recessed .63" from front, allowing 1.38" clearance between equipment knobs and optional front door. Made in the U.S.A. with 100% certified U.S. steel Top opening in cabinet accommodates optional 19” E.I.A. fan panels. Includes safety leash between backbox and cabinet. Cabinet pivots open using single-release loop grasp, and secures with slam-latch closure. Base has two access panels. Remove front panel to gain extra 4U of rack space. Optional flush-mount base door (LWBR-BD4) can be ordered separately to protect equipment mounted there. Front door for main cabinet area is also optional (see LFD series). Cabinet can be switched from right to left-hand swing, allowing side-byside installs. Front key lock secures cabinet to backbox. Base will also accept optional 4U utility drawer (order separately). Overall measurements shall be 23.06"W x ________D x ________H. Construction shall be 16-ga. welded steel with beveled corners and black wrinkle powder epoxy finish. Cabinet shall provide 90-degree pivot capability and swing open from a right hinge which shall be field-changeable to left orientation. It shall include side panels vented at top and bottom and one-pair of adjustable mounting rails with dual-hole pattern which shall accept threaded 10-32 screws (or cage nuts with 10-32, 12-24 or 6mm hardware when reversed). Front cabinet shall have a keylock to secure it to the backbox and vents above and below the opening for the (optional) front door. The rack shall include side-mounted fixed rails to accommodate mounting of optional power strips. The open top shall include knockouts for conduit and BNC antennae, lacing points and provisions to attach board-mounted accessories. Base shall have a 500 lbs. load rating and shall include stainless steel ball transfers and two access panels to provide additional 4U of panel space when panel is removed. The backbox shall be 4.69"D, mount on 16" centers and have a central cut-out.
