Industry Canada Notice This equipment meets the applicable Industry Canada Terminal Equipment technical specifications. This is confirmed by the registration numbers. The abbreviation, IC, before the registration number signifies that registration was performed based on a declaration of conformity indicating that Industry Canada technical specifications were met. It does not imply that Industry Canada approved the equipment.
Safety Notice 1. Installation and service of this gateway must only be performed by authorized, qualified service personnel. 2. The protective earth terminal on the back of the 5000 must be permanently connected to protective earth, utilizing 8 AWG wiring minimum. 3. The unit is intended for installation rack-mounted in a Restricted Access Location (RAL) with maximum allowed ambient temperature 45°C (113°F). 4. Elevated Operating Ambient - If installed in a closed or multi-unit rack assembly, the operating ambient temperature of the rack environment may be greater than room ambient. Therefore, consideration should be given to installing the equipment in an environment compatible with the maximum ambient temperature (Tma) specified by the manufacturer. 5. Reduced Air Flow - Installation of the equipment in a rack should be such that the amount of air flow required for safe operation of the equipment is not compromised. 6. Mechanical Loading - Mounting of the equipment in the rack should be such that a hazardous condition is not achieved due to uneven mechanical loading. 7. For AC systems: the AC power cable should be connected to power sockets that are protected by a protection device providing a maximum of 16A protection capacity. 8. For AC systems: the AC inlet contains two fuses, one for each pole. To replace a fuse, use only LittelFuse P/N 215010 (10A 250V).
