SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - Read before operating equipment This product was designed and manufactured to meet strict quality and safety standards. There are, however, some installation and operation precautions which you should be particularly aware of. 1.
Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is operated. 2. Retain Instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference. 3. Heed Warnings - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to. 4. Follow Instructions - All operating and use instructions should be followed. 5. Water and Moisture - The appliance should not be used near water - for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool, etc. 6. Carts and Stands - The appliance should be used only with a cart or stand that is recommended by the manufacturer. 6A. An appliance and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the appliance and cart combination to overturn. 6B. Tilt/Stability - All televisions must comply with recommended international global safety standards for tilt and stability properties of its cabinet design. • Do not compromise these design standards by applying excessive pull force to the front, or top, of the cabinet which could ultimately overturn the product. • Also, do not endanger yourself, or children, by placing electronic equipment/toys on the top of the cabinet. Such items could unsuspectingly fall from the top of the set and cause product damage and/or personal injury. 7. Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The appliance should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as recommended by the manufacturer. 8. Ventilation - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the appliance should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings; or, placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings. 9. Heat - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 10. Power Sources - The appliance should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.

Power-Cord Protection - Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords and plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the appliance. 12. Cleaning - The appliance should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer. 13. Power Lines - An outdoor antenna should be located away from power lines. 14. Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outside antenna is connected to the receiver, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built up static charges. Section 810 of the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984, provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mats and supporting structure grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding connectors, location of antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes and requirements for the grounding electrode. See Fig. below. 15. Non-use Periods - The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the outlet when left unused for a long period of time. 16. Object and Liquid Entry - Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings. 17. Damage Requiring Service - The appliance should be serviced by qualified service personnel when: A. The power supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance; or C. The appliance has been exposed to rain; or D. The appliance does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance; or E. The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged. 18. Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
Note to the CATV system installer: This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer's attention to Article 820-40 of the NEC that provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as practical.

Designed for discrete and cross-over system functionality the HD6400W will support traditional NTSC Television standards, receive all certified FCC defined ATSC digital transmission formats, as well as perform PC Monitor Display capa-

As you unpack your DPTV please note that the following items have been included with your set:
First Time Set Up - for both NTSC and ATSC channel programming to automatically preset the DPTV for available area stations.

Parental Control for “Censoring” - this feature can block out channels to keep children from watching undesirable programming. Parental Guideline and Movie Rating settings can also be used as part of the new Content Advisory Data system available with TV programming.

LCD Remote Control - universal, learn remote which controls virtually all IR devices, learns new commands as your system expands, and can be customized according to your personal preferences. Featuring a large LCD backlit touchscreen, the remote gives you easy access to all key DPTV features.
Please take a few minutes to complete your registration card. The serial number for the DPTV is on the back of the product. Refer to the back of this manual for instructions on the cleaning and care of the DPTV.
Dolby® Digital Sound - for multichannel sound reproduction at its best. Fully compatible DPTV audio system will replay a received Dolby Digital 5.1 sound source through internal system amplification, or function within a home theater sound system.
Product End-of-Use disposal Your new digital projection television and its packaging contain materials that can be recycled and reused. Specialized companies can recycle your product to increase the amount of reusable materials and minimize the amounts which need to be properly disposed. Your product also uses batteries which should not be thrown away when depleted, but should be handed in and disposed of as small chemical waste. Please find out about the local regulations on how to dispose of your old products, batteries, and packaging materials whenever you replace existing equipment.

irst Time Setup automatically takes care of some basic control feature settings for you. Follow the steps in this section to quickly add area channel numbers into the DPTV's scan system memory, and set the DPTV for your connected signal (Antenna or Cable.) You can also set-up your TV Smart Clock feature for the first time as well.

The First-Time Setup provides a simple method of adjusting the most important controls for this television receiver.
Press the remote's Menu buttons to move UP/DOWN and from SIDE-TO-SIDE within the list of on-screen features. Press CH(annel)▲ ▼ and VOLume (+) (-) on the DPTV’s local keyboard to move UP/DOWN and from SIDE-TO-SIDE within the list of on-screen features.

The Smart Clock feature will also reset itself every time the TV is turned off. The “SET TIME MANUALLY” option allows you to only enter the current time of day and AM or PM settings.

Convergence (or lining up of red and blue light paths on the TV screen) has been preset at the factory for your convenience and should not need any further adjustments. However, Convergence controls are provided (in both the First Time Setup and Picture Menu areas) in case the picture on your DPTV shows color fringing. Color fringing is when colors “bleed” or appear around the edges of on screen images and objects. If your DPTV should ever need to be adjusted for such a condition, please also refer to the DPTV’s Picture Menu Convergence control page section for further details.

Remember, control settings are at normal mid-range levels when the bar scale is centered. COLOR Press (-) or (+) to add or eliminate color. losed Captioning (CC) allows you to read the voice content of NTSC television programs on the DPTV screen. Designed to help the hearing impaired this feature uses on-screen "text boxes" to show dialogue and conversations while the TV program is in progress.
CC NOTE: Not all TV programs and product commercials are made for
broadcast with Closed Caption (CC) information included. Neither are all Closed Caption modes (CAPTION 1-4; or TEXT 1-4) necessarily being used by a broadcast station during the transmission of a closed caption program. Usually "CAPTION 1" is the most used mode to view captioned material. Refer to your area's TV program listings for the stations and times of Closed Caption shows.

The widescreen format of your DPTV screen is nearly 80% greater than its measure height (which accounts for a 16:9 aspect ratio). The reason for the 16:9 aspect ratio screen is that it allows for the dramatic and lifelike viewing of original version movies and cinemas (similar to the type found in your local theaters). PARENTAL CONTROL SETUP CODE NUMBER arental Control allows parents to block out, or "censor", any channels they think children should not watch. A channel placed under Parental Control cannot be viewed until a correct access code is used to unlock the channel for viewing.

If you are using your TV and the Parental Control for the first time, and don't want to SETUP a new Access code number, you can use the "0000" number to block channels - see next page. PARENTAL CONTROL CONTENT ADVISORY nother new area available to parents for the censoring of program material is through the TV Guidelines and Movie Ratings system. Program Content Advisory data will soon be contained within the broadcast signals of received TV programs. When setup by the parent or viewer, the TV can respond to transmitted advisory data by blocking out or denying access to TV shows (based on whether the program meets or exceeds the limitations you select as viewable). The TV program can then only be viewed by entering the correct and current Parental Code Access number.

The Content Advisory system uses both “Movie Ratings” and a “Parental Guidelines” form of censoring. Refer to the following page sections for explanations on the different Rating system levels and their uses.
Note: Please remember that a valid and current Access Code number will be required in the setup and use of the TV’s “Content Advisory” system. Review the previous SETUP CODE section on how to obtain a valid Parental Access Code number before attempting to make adjustments within the Movie Ratings and Parental Guidelines system.

The System Audio Out(put) jacks send the DPTV’s current audio (ATSC, NTSC, or Monitor) to an external amplifier for output. The advantage of such an additional System Audio Out connection (as shown in this diagram) is that it could continue to route the supplied audio signals from the DPTV to an external amplifier or Pro Logic Receiver (even when the selected program source switches between a digital ATSC program, NTSC, or Monitor supplied source). In the case of digital multichannel audio the DPTV downmixes the audio output to a straight 2-channel stereo signal.

• Note: Standards were devised as part of the ATSC system to allow TV stations to transmit Program Service Information Protocol (or PSIP) for DTV channels. This information system enables stations to broadcast various electronic on-screen program guides (in order to inform digital TV viewers of station channel locations and availability of programs); as well as allowing for the reception of signal coding necessary for digital audio processing and Parental Content Advisory system for movies and TV programming .

TUNING PROGRAM/CHANNEL MENU • The DPTV’s “Tuning - Program or Channel” Menu control allows you to switch between either tuning to a specific physical channel (direct tune); or using the DTV Setup list of programmed channels (or the “installed” channel map) without the loss of previously stored PSIP channel encoded information (see explanation given above). The DPTV’s extra speaker connections make it possible to create a multichannel soundfield effect previously available only within a movie theater or concert hall. With the new 5.1 discrete digital channel surround sound system the listener can now attain a true soundstage realism for audio signal separation, imaging, and pinpoint sound placement. Note: If the Front External Speaker Out terminals are used for Left/Right audio channel playback of Dolby Digital material, the FRONT SPEAKER slide switch on the rear of the DPTV must also be placed to the EXT(ernal) position in order for the connection and signal routing to operate properly.

Center • Delay - control allows the user to adjust center channel speaker sound for situations where external Left/Right speakers are in use and their relative distance/position from the DPTV’s internal cabinet speakers may vary. (See pages 39 and 40 for further details on front external speakers, amplifier surround systems, and the use of the DPTV as a source for center channel speaker sound.) - Front in Line - is for the speaker arrangement where the center, left, and right speakers are evenly lined up and roughly equidistant from the user. - Forward 1 foot (2 feet/ 3 feet) - settings compensate for a center speaker being placed a few feet in front of the external left and right speakers. - Back 1 foot (2 feet) - settings compensate for a center speaker being placed a few feet behind the position of the external left and right speakers. Front • Left - control adjusts the volume level of the DPTV’s left front internal cabinet speaker (or the Left Front External Speakers Output terminal source on the rear of the DPTV). • Right - control adjusts the volume level of the DPTV’s right front internal cabinet speaker (or the Right Front External Speakers Output terminal source on the rear of the DPTV).

Rear • On/Off - control allows the user to turn the rear surround sound signals On or Off to the Surround External Speaker Output terminals on the rear of the DPTV. • Left - control adjusts the volume level of the DPTV’s left rear surround sound speaker (as connected through the Left Surround External Speaker Output terminal on the rear of the DPTV). • Right - control adjusts the volume level of the DPTV’s right rear surround sound speaker (as connected through the Right Surround External Speaker Output terminal on the rear of the DPTV). • Delay - control adjusts rear surround sound to compensate for room size and how far the rear surround speakers are located behind the system user (Less than 3 feet; 3-5 feet; 5-8 feet; 8-12 feet; 12-15 feet; 15 feet or more).
SMART HELP Note: Other speaker configuration slide switch controls are also located on the rear of the DPTV. The FRONT SPEAKERS and CENTER CHANNEL INPUT switches direct the use and audio signal routing for the DPTV’s internal cabinet speakers and external output speaker terminals. Test Tone • On/Off - allows the use of a test tone signal in order to help set the volume levels for the individual channel DPTV audio system speakers. (See the following page for details on the use of the test tone speaker adjustment process.) Subwoofer Level • Adjusts the volume level of a subwoofer speaker (as connected through the Subwoofer Speaker Output terminal on the rear of the DPTV). Note: The DPTV’s additional Subwoofer Preamp Output plug provides a variable line level signal intended for an external “powered” subwoofer capable of its own volume level adjustments.

PARENTAL CONTROL CONTENT ADVISORY nother new area available to parents for the censoring of program material is through the TV Guidelines and Movie Ratings system. Program Content Advisory data will soon be contained within the broadcast signals of received TV programs. When setup by the parent or viewer, the TV can respond to transmitted advisory data by blocking out or denying access to TV shows (based on whether the program meets or exceeds the limitations you select as viewable). The TV program can then only be viewed by entering the correct and current Parental Code Access number.

The Content Advisory system uses both “Movie Ratings” and a “Parental Guidelines” form of censoring. Refer to the following page sections for explanations on the different Rating system levels and their uses.
Note: Please remember that a valid and current Access Code number will be required in the setup and use of the TV’s “Content Advisory” system. Review the previous SETUP CODE section on how to obtain a valid Parental Access Code number before attempting to make adjustments within the Movie Ratings and Parental Guidelines system.

NOTE: In normal Content Advisory system operation the TV screen will display a message when programming is blocked by a Movie Rating, Parental Guideline, or Blocking Option control feature. ovie Ratings set viewing access levels for TV programming according to current Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) ratings. These ratings are similar to the categories used with the rated movies appearing in cinema theaters and with video rental material.

The TV-Y7; TV-PG; TV-14; and TV-MA guidelines also include customized settings for various additional items such as V (violence), S (sexual situations), L (coarse language), D (suggestive dialogue), and FV (fantasy violence). Note: Remember that Content Advisory data or encoded information is not available with all received TV programming (this also includes commercials, and other program spot announcements). Broadcaster’s can decide not to encode any kind of content advisory ratings with their programming, or they can actually choose to encode programs to be “unrated.” The TV Blocking Options allow the viewer to block any program without content advisory data with the use of its “NO RATING INFORMATION” control. And to block programs that are encoded as “unrated” with its “UNRATED PROGRAMMING” control option.

Since the reception of Content Advisory data can take a few seconds, you may want to use the “CHANNEL CHANGE” option to be sure no viewing is allowed during blocked program channel changes. This can eliminate the display of a few seconds of undesirable video on the TV, or receiving scenes from a Ratings blocked channel source.

Alternate Audio preference: English * The “alt(ernate) audio” button on the remote allows the user to select a language preference for multilingual or alternate language audio track programs that may be received for DTV viewing. (English is the default language setting.) When digital broadcast material is received which contains multiple language soundtracks the DPTV will identify, find, and then select the preferred alternate audio language for sound playback. If the selected language preference is not available within the received program material, the default audio language is then selected.

he Monitor Menu feature controls are to aid you in setting up the DPTV for the best in display image quality. Generally, the Monitor feature controls cover the basics in color and video image screen adjustments. A variety of Monitor Audio Input controls are also available for various speaker trim adjustments (dependent upon whether the externally supplied Monitor input source is capable of 2-channel stereo or 6-channel digital sound replay).

• Use the Brightness and other Monitor picture features (such as Picture, Sharpness, etc.) to adjust overall DPTV screen intensity for optimum light/dark screen areas and shading details. • Turn the Volume Bar Sound Menu control ON to display the volume level settings for external audio sourced material on the DPTV screen. • Select the Bass/Treble/Balance Sound Menu controls to adjust low/high frequency sound and speaker balance for external input audio source material played through the DPTV’s audio system. • Use the Adjust Trim (Left, Right, Center, Subwoofer, Surround Left, Surround Right) Sound Menu controls when adjusting sound for a 6-channel audio input received externally for playback through the DPTV’s Monitor display operating mode. • Use the Display Mode, Format, and Input Feature Menu controls to set the DPTV for the type of external monitor display mode source (VGA, AUTO, SVGA, EXT HD); the DPTV’s display screen format used (PC, NORMAL); and input type signal received (RGB; Y PB PR; RGBDirect). • Additional Sync Type, Horizontal Phase, Back Porch Width Feature Menu controls can be used to adjust for color shifts, black level, and various other display screen imagery.

DPTV Displays Wrong Channel or incorrect program
CAUTION: A video source (such as a video game, Compact Disc Interactive - CDI, or TV information channel) which shows a constant non-moving pattern on the DPTV screen, can cause picture tube damage. When your DPTV is continuously used with such a source the pattern of the non-moving portion of the game (CDI, etc.) could leave an image permanently on the picture tube. When not in use, turn the video source OFF. Regularly alternate the use of such video sources with normal DPTV viewing. • Check the DPTV power cord. Unplug the DPTV, wait 1 minute for the unit to reset, then reinsert plug into outlet and push POWER button again. • Check to be sure power outlet is not on a wall switch. • Check for proper ATSC or NTSC antenna connections on the rear of the DPTV. Are they properly secured to the appropriate antenna plug on the DPTV? • For ATSC Autoprogram check DTV Setup for proper Full Installation option. Use “Without Program and System Info” selection for initial digital station programming. • Check the SOURCE, or “ext input” control on the remote, for the correct operating mode for the DPTV (ATSC, NTSC, Auxiliary Inputs, Monitor, etc.). • Check the CLOSED CAPTIONS control. Some TEXT modes could block the screen. • Check the VOLUME and MUTE buttons on the DPTV and remote. • Check the INTERNAL SPEAKERS CENTER CHANNEL INPUT switches (on rear of DPTV) for proper position. Use the “NO” switch position for internal DPTV cabinet speaker routing; and “YES” position when the DPTV speakers are intended as Center Channel speakers within an external amplifier supplied Surround Sound system. • If attempting auxiliary equipment hook-ups, check audio jack connections and ensure auxiliary equipment is on and in the proper operating modes. • Check FRONT SPEAKERS switch (on rear of DPTV). Place in INT(ernal) position for sound playback through the DPTV’s internal speaker system. EXT(ernal) for optional external speaker playback connections using the Front and Surround Speakers Out(put) terminals on the DPTV. • Check for correct battery placement and position in remote battery compartment. Replace with AA Heavy Duty (Zinc Chloride) or Alkaline batteries if necessary. • Check the Device Tab button on the remote for correct selected device (“TV” to operate the DPTV). Refer to the separate Remote Owner’s Manual for complete details on its operation and use. • Press the remote’s “analog TV” or “DTV” touchscreen button to properly select and send remote commands to the desired NTSC or ATSC DPTV mode of operation. • Check and be sure DPTV is in the proper operating mode (ATSC, NTSC, or Monitor). • Repeat channel selection. In ATSC mode allow time for DTV channel acquisition and display process to take place. For ATSC sub-channel selections be sure to enter the desired four-digit channel number using the remote.
Note: The DPTV is equipped with protective circuitry that shuts the unit off in case of moderate power surges. Should this occur turn the DPTV back on by pressing the POWER button once or twice, or unplug and then replug the power cord at the AC outlet. This feature is NOT designed to prevent damage due to high power surges such as those caused by lightning, which is not covered by your warranty. Cleaning and Care • To avoid possible shock hazard be sure the DPTV is unplugged from the electrical outlet before cleaning. • When cleaning the DPTV screen take care not to scratch or damage the screen surface (avoid wearing jewelry or using anything abrasive, do not use household cleaners). Wipe the front screen with a clean cloth dampened with water. Use even, easy, vertical strokes when cleaning. • Specially designed screen cleaning kits are also available which contain anti-static cleaners and cloths designed for use with the DPTV screen. • Gently wipe the cabinet surfaces with a clean cloth or sponge dampened in a solution of cool clear water and a mild soap or detergent. Use a clean dry cloth to dry the wiped surfaces. • Occasionally vacuum the ventilation holes or slots in the cabinet back. • Never use thinners, insecticide sprays, or other chemicals on or near the cabinet, as they might cause permanent marring of the cabinet finish.

GLOSSARY TO TELEVISION TERMS Audio/Video Inputs * Located on the rear of the DPTV these connectors (RCA phono type plug) are used for the input of audio and video signals. Designed for use with VCRs (or other accessories) in order to receive higher picture resolution and offer sound connection options.
Programming * The procedure of adding or deleting channel numbers into the DPTV’s memory circuits. In this way the DPTV “remembers’’ only the locally available or desired channel numbers and skips over any unwanted channel numbers.
PSIP * Program and System Information Protocol. Aspect Ratio * The proportions of a rectangular display screen. NTSC television has a 4:3 ratio; HDTV is 16:9.
ATSC * Advanced Television Systems Committee established by the Federal Communications Commission to set standards for digital television. Coaxial Cable * A single solid antenna wire normally matched with a metal plug (F-type) end connector that screws (or pushes) directly onto a 75 Ohm input found on the Television or VCR. Display * An on screen message or graphics that help the user operate and adjust DPTV feature controls. See On Screen Displays (OSD). Dolby Digital * A digital 6-channel compression and surround sound audio standard developed by Dolby Labs Inc. (also known as 5.1.)
PTV * Projection Television (Rear and/or Front projection design systems are available.) Remote Sensor Window * A window or opening found on the DPTV control panel through which infrared remote control command signals are received. RF * Radio Frequency or modulated signal design used as the carrier for television broadcasts.
RGB * Red, Green, Blue color component inputs used for connection purposes with personal computers (PCs) and other high definition video devices.
Second Audio Program (SAP) * Another or additional audio

DTV * The broadly defined term used to describe the new digital television system adopted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in December 1996.

DPTV * Digital Projection Television comprised of ATSC, NTSC, and
transmission, but with approximately the picture quality and aspect ratio equivalent to NTSC video.
HDTV * High Definition Television which offers approximately twice the vertical/horizontal resolution of NTSC video, and sound quality approaching that of compact disc. (Usually taken to mean a picture of 1920 x 1080 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio.)
Status * Allows the user to quickly confirm what channel number is currently being viewed. Status can also be used to clear the DPTV of onscreen displays or information (rather than waiting for the displays to “time out” or automatically disappear from the screen).
LED * Light Emitting Diode or indicator. Major Channel * The RF transmitted channel on which an ATSC digital station is broadcast. (Also referred to as virtual channel.)
Subchannel * A complete digital channel number is composed of both a major and minor (sub-) channel number. Located within the “major” channel’s transmitted signal the “minor” channel can be used and selected for additional programming.
Menu * An on-screen listing of feature controls shown on the DPTV screen that are made available for user adjustments.
MPEG * Motion Picture Experts Group and the video compression formats devised for transmission of digital broadcasts. Multichannel Television Sound (MTS) * The broadcast standard that allows for stereo sound to be transmitted with the TV picture. NTSC * National Television Standards Committee format devised for TV broadcasting signals in the 1940s (525 lines; 30Hz.) On Screen Displays (OSD) * Refers to the wording or messages generated by the DPTV to help the user with specific feature controls (color adjustment, programming, etc.).
Pre-Amplifier * The control center of a hi-fi system. Not only amplifies source inputs, but also allows for source selection, volume, tone, balance and all other controls that affect the sound.
Subwoofer * A speaker designed for audio playback of only the lowest-frequency notes (under 100 Hz.) SVGA * Super Video Graphics Array S-Video Input * Allows direct connection of high-resolution video sources, such as a Super VHS videocassette recorder, Laser Disc player, etc. Provides improved picture resolution, sharpness, and clarity.
Twin Lead Wire * The more commonly used name for the two strand 300 Ohm antenna wire used with many indoor and outdoor antenna systems. In many cases this type of antenna wire requires an additional adapter (or balun) in order to connect to the 75 Ohm Input terminals designed into the more recent Televisions and VCRs. Variable Audio Output * An adjustable audio output which allows for volume variations at the source.

You must have proof of purchase to receive warranty service. A sales receipt or other document showing that you purchased the product is considered proof of purchase.
Please keep your sales receipt or other document showing proof of purchase. Attach it to this owner’s manual and keep both nearby. Also keep the original box and packing material in case you need to return your product.
WHAT IS COVERED? Warranty coverage begins the day you buy your product for two years thereafter (30 days for the digital projection TV screen), all parts will be repaired or replaced, and labor and transportation are free. After two years from the day of purchase, you pay for the replacement or repair of all parts except the “Clear-Vu” lens (which is guaranteed against manufacturer’s defects for the life of the product), and for all labor and transportation charges. All parts, including repaired and replaced parts, are covered only for the original warranty period. When the warranty on the product expires, the warranty on all replaced and repaired parts also expires.
WHAT IS EXCLUDED? Your warranty does not cover: • labor charges for installation or setup of the product, adjustment of customer controls on the product, and installation or repair of antenna systems outside of the product. • product repair and/or part replacement because of misuse, accident, unauthorized repair or other cause not within the control of Philips Consumer Electronics Company. • reception problems caused by signal conditions or cable or antenna systems outside the unit. • a product that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications. • incidental or consequential damages resulting from the product. (Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
