FOUR-CHANNEL: This Stereo Dynetic@ cartridge is compatible w i t h all four-channel matrix systems. MONOPHONIC OPERATION: Set function switch on amplifier t o "MONO" or "A+B." If amplifier is n o t equ~ppedw i t h this switch, connect left and r ~ g h tchannels i n parallel. right CONNECTIONS (see Figure 1): Right "hot" lead (usually red) t o "R," ground (usually green) to "RC " Left "hot" lead (usually white) to "L," left ground (usually blue) to "LC." I f metal head is causing ground loop hum, remove the ground tab. The metallic cartridge shield is disconnected from the r ~ g h tchannel ground by the remov CAUTION: D o not make solder connection to cartridge terminals STYLUS REPLACEMENT (see Figure 2): Grasp molded housing of stylus and gently pull forward out o f cartridge. Insert replacement stylus into socket and press until h o u s ~ n gmates with cartridge case. MOUNTING 112.7 mm (1/2 in.) mounting centers]: Mounting screws are provided. 1. Remove stylus guard and stylus (see Stylus Replacement). 2. Connect leads to cartridge (see Figure 1). 3. Lay cartridge in shell and align mounting holes on side o f cartridge w i t h holes o r threads In shell. Follow turntable manufacturer's instruct~onsto mount cartridge i n tone arm o r plug-in shell. 4. Reinsert stylus (see Stylus Replacement).

RECOMMENDED STYLUS CLEANING: Use a camel's halr brush (No. 2 size or smaller), trimmed to approximately 6 m m (1/4 in.), dipped In alcohol or an alcoh(~l-distilled water solution. Commercial cleaning solutions may cause stylus damage or corrosion. Always brush stylus irom back to iront; never brush or wlpe ,tylus from front to back or slde to side. TO PRESERVE STYLUS LIFE: 1 . Follow turntable or tone arm ~nstructions when adjusting antiskating iorce. 2 D o not handle t h r tone arm whlle i t is in operation since thls may cause the arm to sweep across the record. 3. l i ~t is necessary to manually place the tone arm in the record groove while turntable is rotating, release i t as soon as the stylus engages the record groove. 4. Correct improper set-down adlustment or malfunction of the turntable changlng rnechanlsm to prevent the stylus from striking the edge of the turntable or record D o not stack more records than turntable manufacturer recommends. 5. Take care to properly insert the stylus into the cartrldge assembly and the cartridge and shell assembly into the tone arm receptacle. 6. Use proper vertical tracklng torce settlng for each cartrldge. 7. D o not use badly warped, cracked or imperiect records. 8. When dustlng the turntable protect the stylus wlth the ctylus guard.
