Machine Arm Installation for Mill with Full Enclosure Product Identification: Machine Arm for PCNC 1100 or PCNC 770 with Full Enclosure (PN 34668) Purpose: The purpose of this document is to detail the installation and use of the machine arm assembly on either the PCNC 1100 or the PCNC 770 mill – when the full enclosure is attached. PCNC 770 Machine Arm Installation 1. Disconnect the 4-hole Mounting Clevis from the Square Tube Arm and discard; attach the required 2-hole Mounting Clevis to Square Tube Arm. IMPORTANT! The 2-hole Mounting Clevis (PN 33079) required for installation is included with the Full Enclosure Kit for PCNC 770 (PN 34442) or available for purchase separately. The 4-hole Mounting Clevis included with this kit is only suitable for a PCNC 1100 mill. 2. Using the 2-hole Mounting Clevis as a template, locate and mark the correct mounting position for the PCNC 770 machine arm as shown in Figure 1. NOTE: Before finalizing mounting location, inspect the inside of the mill’s controller door to ensure there are no obstructions. 2”

3. Power off the mill following the power off/on procedure detailed below. WARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard: Be sure to power off machine before making any electrical modifications. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death. Power Off/On Procedure 1. Push red E-stop button in Power Off
2. Click Exit on screen; when prompted click OK to power off 3. Turn Main Disconnect Off (see image at right) 1. Turn Main Disconnect On (see image at right)

2. After software loads, turn red E-stop clockwise to release 3. Press green Start button 4. Click Reset on screen
4. Using the included 13/32” Drill Bit, drill two mounting holes through the sheet metal controller cabinet (see Figure 1); proceed to Machine Arm Assembly section later in this document. PCNC 1100 Machine Arm Installation 1. Using the 4-hole Mounting Clevis as a template, locate and mark the correct mounting position for the PCNC 1100 machine arm shown in Figure 2. NOTE: Before finalizing mounting location, inspect the inside of the mill’s controller door to ensure there are no obstructions. 2. Power off the mill following the power off/on procedure detailed earlier in this document. 3. Using the included 13/32” Drill Bit, drill four mounting holes through the sheet metal controller cabinet (see Figure 2); proceed to Machine Arm Assembly section later in this document.

Machine Arm Assembly 1. Using the 8 mm Socket Head Cap Screws (long), Nuts, and Washers, attach the Mounting Clevis to the mill (see Figure 3). IMPORTANT! Square Tube Arm must be installed with cable slots facing as shown in Figure 3. 2. Insert the Round Monitor Post into the Square Tube Arm and tighten the cross bolt (see Figure 3). The working height of the post can be adjusted after the keyboard and monitor are attached. Note the orientation of holes along the inside of the Round Monitor Post (see Figure 4).

4. Position the Round Monitor Post for mounting of the Keyboard Table as shown in Figure 6. Tighten the applicable screws to hold the desired position. 5. Using the 5 mm Socket Head Screws, attach the Keyboard Table to the Round Monitor Post (see Figure 7 and Figure 8).

6. Fasten Wire Tie Mounts to the Round Monitor Post and E-stop Cable Clips to the bottom of the Square Tube Arm using six 4 mm Flat Head Screws (see Figure 9). 7. Attach monitor and route cables. NOTE: Tormach recommends all cable connections be wrapped in electrical tape. 8. Adjust monitor height and keyboard angle as needed.
