Maintenance Schedule Inspection • Check whether client has experienced any problems with the system • The engineer will visit all CCTV locations which will include the locations of all PSU Locations, Camera & Monitor Positions. • The following tasks will be carried out. • Inspect all equipment listed below for wear and damage. Any damage must be repaired and reported. Any missing items, fittings or cables should be replaced and a report made out. Cameras • Examine supporting brackets and towers for signs of corrosion or damage • Check physical condition of cameras and housings for sign of deterioration due to rain, dust and dirt • The alignment and field-of-view of all cameras shall be checked to ensure correct display and appropriate action taken. Any focusing of cameras to be carried out to the customer’s satisfaction. • Check that all camera bracket fixings and clamping bolts are tight • Check that lenses are correctly focused • Check operation of auto iris lenses • The housing glass, fixed camera lenses and protection plates shall be cleaned with a cleaning cloth moistened with neutral detergent solution, dried with a clean dry cloth or leather. • Check that washer bottles are full, refilling if necessary • Check operation, blade condition and parking position of wiper unit, adjusting stop position if necessary • Check condition of pan tilt unit, adjusting position of end stops if necessary • When fitted Pan & Tilt units be shall be cleaned externally with a cleaning cloth moistened with neutral detergent solution, dried with a clean dry cloth or leather. • Pan & Tilt units mountings to be checked for tightness, bearings to be lightly greased, seals to be checked for tightness and limits to be checked and adjusted if required. • Check operation of infra-red units and input and output devices Monitors • Check physical condition and cable connections • The monitor screen shall be cleaned with a cleaning cloth moistened with neutral detergent solution, dried with a clean dry cloth or leather. • Check operation of controls and adjust for best picture Controls and Recorders • Check physical condition and cable connections • The Switcher, Multiplexer or Digital Video Recorder shall be checked for correct operation and display of all channels and for correct identity. Make a short test recording • The heads of the video tape recorders must be cleaned. Video playback will be checked for clarity, all pictures are recorded and that the time and date is correct. • Check that time lapse setting is correct • Check hours run indicator. • Video recorders, HDR’s and keyboards shall be cleaned in accordance with the manufacturers specification. Any damaged VCR tapes will be reported to the customer. • Check operation of telemetry controllers • Check operation of off site monitoring Before • • •
