MANAGER’S GUIDE Foreword Dear Manager, First of all, thank you for volunteering to be the manager of a team. Football Brisbane has developed this guide to assist you to carry out your weekly duties. It is hoped that by following the steps in this guide, it will make your job as easy as possible and lessen the time required to be a team manager. If there are any aspects of being a manager that you need assistance with, please contact your club secretary who will forward your enquiry and will be more than happy to assist you. Yours in football, Craig Morris Competitions Manager Football Brisbane Inc. 1 How to view Season Fixtures through The Washing Line Prior to doing this, you will require your Club Administrator to create your team in Fox Sporting Pulse for you. There are two ways of accessing the list of team’s season fixtures. These instructions are for viewing through The Washing Line. Step 1 > Access The Washing Line website. Hover your cursor over the Fixtures & Results tab and then select the Fixtures & Results option. http://thewashingline.com.au/ Step 2 > Select which competition you wish to see the season’s fixture. Step 3 > Then click on the team’s Fixture link you wish to view within the ladder. 2 Step 4 > Now click on the team name. Step 5 > Now click on the Fixtures link and this will bring up the season fixture list 3 Modifying Team Lists Step 1 > On your club’s dashboard, select ‘Teams’. Step 2 > Select the appropriate team. Step 3 > Go to ‘Individuals’ and select ‘Modify Team List’. 4 Step 4 > Select the green button which corresponds with each player from the ‘Available Players’ list. Then select ‘Save’. Congratulations, your team is now created for the season. Step 5 > Go to ‘Competitions’ and select ‘Match Results’. Step 6 > Select ‘Pre Game’ for the appropriate match. Step 7 > Select ‘Players registered to this team’. 5 Step 8 > To add player numbers for the season go to ‘Tools’ and select ‘Edit Team Default Number’. These can also be edited manually each week if that is your preference. Step 9 > Select a player from the ‘Player’ drop down box. Enter a number into the ‘Player Number’ box and select ‘Assign Number’. Step 10 > Select ‘Match List’ to exit out of the screen. Select ‘Pre Game’ for the appropriate match. Select ‘Players registered to this team’ and click ‘Save’. The player numbers should now appear next to each player. 6 How to create a Team Sheet Step 1 > Select your starting 11 and substitutes by clicking on the ‘Position’ (either starter or sub) drop down box. Once you have done this select ‘Save’. Step 2 > Select ‘Football Brisbane Team Sheet’. Step 3 > Printing Official Match Sheet Right click on the screen and select ‘Print’. 7 Step 4 > Ensure that the layout is in portrait. Uncheck the headers and footers box & check the background graphics box. Select 2 copies! Then select print. Step 5 > On match day take both copies of your match sheet to the game. Hand both copies to the match officials at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled kick off time. After the completion of the match each manager must sign and collect one (1) copy of their own match sheet and one (1) copy of the opposition’s match sheet from the match officials. Your respective team’s match sheet must be forwarded to Football Brisbane within two (2) days of the completion of the game. For more information on match sheet procedures please refer to the match sheet section of the Rules of Competition. Football Brisbane’s preferred method is to receive match sheets via email. This can be done by either scanning completed match sheets or by a photo from a mobile device. NOTE: The entire match sheet must be visible and all details easily read. Please discuss with your club for their preferred method of lodgement. 8 How to run a Fixture Report Step 1 > Click on the Reports tab from the home screen of Sporting Pulse. Step 2 > Click on the Competition tab. Step 3 > Choose the Advanced Fixture option for a yearly report or Weekly Fixture for a weekly report. Step 4 > Drag and drop the options that you wish to include in the report. (make sure you drop in the middle of the box) The options to generally utilise are Season, Competition Name, Round Number, Match Date, Match Time, Team 1, Team 2 and Venue Name. The first seven options come from the drop down Details tab and the venue name option is under the drop down Venue tab. Fell free to explore the different types of reports you can run (options and types found in step 3). These can be handy for your club. 9 How to create ID Cards in My Football Club Step 1 > Create a Team a) Log in to My Football Club. b) Click the Create/Edit Team button. c) Click the Create New Team button. d) Fill in the details in the box that appears. Ensure that you select ‘2015 Outdoor’ as the season. e) Click exit Step 2 > Allocate Players to your Teams a) Click the Team Allocation button. 10 b) Choose applicable options at the top of the page and filter to the team that you wish to add players to. c) Click the check box to select the players that you wish to add to the selected team. d) Click the right facing arrow in the centre of the screen. e) Click exit Step 3 > Create ID Cards a) Click the Reports button 11 b) Click Registration Reports d) Filter as required at the top of the screen and click View Report. e) Print ID Cards. 12 c) Click Registration Card A4 size
