top tips & aftercare advice Apply the removal wrap to each finger nail in the same manner and leave the removal wraps on for 10 minutes.
6
REMOVAL WITH FOIL
7 First wash your hands and towel dry.
After 10 minutes, securely grip each finger through the foil and with moderate pressure and a twisting and pulling motion pull the nail wrap off the nail plate. Any small amounts of residue can be easily removed by wiping over with an acetone soaked piece of cotton wool. If large amounts of product are still visible and do not come off easily with the hoof stick, reapply a new wrap and allow acetone to penetrate for a further few minutes. Repeat removal procedure on the other hand
Carefully saturate a piece of cotton wool the size of your nail plate with the Acetone Solution.

UV GEL CLEAR POLISH
• Because 14 Day UV Gel Clear Polish creates a resilient high gloss finish to any brand of nail colour, you don’t need to buy the most expensive polishes on the market, just pick the colour that you like and let 14 Day do the rest!
The cured gel polymer is highly cross-linked which makes it very strong. It is exactly this cross-linking that makes the gel resistant to most solvents. However, acetone can be used to soften the gel and penetrate the polish beneath, releasing it from the nail plate.

• To avoid getting air bubbles in your colour coat, ROLL the bottle between your hands before application rather than shaking.
14 DAY
• Your colour coat is best applied in THIN layers, in most cases two THIN layers will be sufficient.
10 mins
This is the preferred method for removal as it avoids prolonged contact of acetone with the skin. We suggest doing one hand at a time, or asking a friend to help.
• The free edge of the nail is the area most exposed to general wear and tear, therefore, it is important to cap the free edge of the nail during base, colour and Clear UV Gel Polish Top Coat application.
9
Once polish is fully removed from both hands, wash and dry hands thoroughly.
• Patience is the key - each layer of colour can take up to 30 minutes to dry fully, its worth waiting this time especially when the results are so long lasting. • 14 Day UV Gel Clear Polish is not only a great way of protecting your favourite nail colour, but also protects that french manicure that took you so long to apply. • Remember the most common cause of nail polish chipping is poor nail preparation before applying your Polish. Try to meticulously remove all residual cuticle cells from the nail plate before proceeding to the next stage and do NOT touch the nail plate after the preparation stage to prevent contamination with skin oils. If you accidently touch the plate, wipe over again with finishing wipe to remove any oils you may have transferred. • To prolong the life of your manicure do NOT use detergents, such as washing powders or washing-up liquid, or bleach without wearing rubber gloves. • UV rays are invisible, these are not the lilac light you can see, so even if your lamp appears dim this will not affect the performance. UV bulbs take about a minute to reach to full strength so turn on at least one minute before use.

• Remember, when applying the Clear UV Gel Polish Top Coat, apply in THIN layers. It is normal for the surface to feel tacky after each curing. Do NOT remove the tacky layer until the third coat of Clear UV Gel Polish Top Coat has been applied and cured. Place the saturated piece of cotton wool onto the nail plate.

Secure the cotton wool in place with short lengths of foil. Wrap the foil around the circumference of your finger tip leaving a 2cm excess at the top of your finger. IMPORTANT: Do NOT squeeze too hard when wrapping or the acetone may drip out.

Fold over excess foil at the tip to seal in place.

preparing the nail s
YOU WILL NEED: Your 14 Day UV Gel Clear Polish Kit, your favourite coloured brand of nail polish, an old towel and access to a power supply. Your treatment area should be a flat surface covered with a towel or disposable covering. Any spilled gel or polish will be difficult to remove from clothes, furniture and carpets. Do NOT operate the UV lamp over a surface that is not protected by a towel or similar covering. IMPORTANT: Keep Clear UV Gel Polish Top Coat away from the UV lamp, and out of sunlight, at all times.
This is the most important part of applying nail polish, if the nails are not correctly prepared the polish will not have a silky smooth salon finish and may not last as long. Follow each of these steps carefully and thoroughly. We suggest you work on one hand or foot at a time.

2 - in - 1 V A R N I S H ( B A S E C O A T ) APPLICATION It is important to apply Base Coat to your nails before applying your favourite coloured nail polish. Base Coat helps to prolong the life of your polish and also stops any staining on the natural nail plate.

IMPORTANT: Avoid getting gel on skin or cuticles. If this happens, remove immediately using a cotton bud dipped in Finishing Wipe. This will reduce possible lifting of the polish and top coat as the nail grows out.

CAPPING THE FREE EDGE - Finish off by brushing across the free edge of the nail. Do NOT apply too much pressure, as the brush will fan, leaving brush marks on the surface. Allow to dry fully.

Gently push back the cuticles with the Hoof Stick and remove ALL residual skin cells from the nail plate surface. Skin cells contain oils and moisture which will weaken the bond of the polish on the nail plate.

Brush away dust using a tissue, take care to remove all dust particles.
Note: You will need to cure the thumbnails separately.

CAPPING THE FREE EDGE - Finish off by brushing across the free edge of the nail. Do NOT apply too much pressure, as the brush will fan, leaving brush marks on the surface.
NOTE: Do NOT touch the nail surface after this stage as your fingers will transfer natural oils from the skin onto the nail.

Remove applicator brush from your favourite coloured high street nail polish and remove excess by wiping one side of the brush against the neck of the bottle.
It is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the position of the UV bulb so you can place your nails directly under the bulb. ALWAYS keep your Clear UV Gel Polish Top Coat bottle away from the UV lamp.
3
Once you have applied and cured 3 layers of Clear UV Gel Polish Top Coat use Finishing Wipe on a Lint Free Wipe to gently remove the tacky top layer revealing the hardened, glossy gel underneath. Always wipe away from cuticle and use a fresh wipe for each nail to avoid getting the tacky gel onto the surface of the next nail. IMPORTANT: Do NOT use acetone to remove the tacky top layer. This will damage the surface. Repeat all procedures on the other hand to complete your 14 Day manicure. Once complete Wash hands and apply moisturiser if necessary.
Important: Exposure to UV light should be limited to a maximum of 6 treatments to each hand in any one day (Each treatment lasting 3 minutes).
