Features*
The GefenPRO Extender for HDMI ELRPOL, using a single CAT-5 cable, extends a Hi-Def source with multi-channel digital audio at 4K Ultra HD to 330 feet (100 meters). A separate RJ-45 is provided, on both the Sender and Receiver Units, to extend Ethernet. Power is extended over the same CAT-5 cable and it supplies 5V of DC power to a power receptacle on the Receiver Unit. This exclusive Gefen feature allows for an additional product to be connected without using a separate power supply. The built-in IR back-channel provides additional control flexibility by sending IR commands to the A/V source equipment from the Receiver Unit. Use the IR Extender to increase the IR range when installing the product in a cabinet or behind additional components. RS-232 is extended using the built-in RS-232 serial interface. DVI-D is supported when using an HDMI to DVI Adapter, providing greater flexibility when integrating several components together.

How It Works

Connect the Hi-Def source to the GefenPRO Extender for HDMI ELRPOL Sender Unit using the included HDMI cable. Place the Receiver Unit next to the HDTV display or receiver and connect an HDMI cable from the Receiver Unit to the HDTV display. Connect a CAT-5 cable from the Link connector on the Sender Unit to the same connector on the Receiver Unit. The Ethernet ports on both the Sender and Receiver Units are connected to standard network devices. Connect the IR Extender cable to the Receiver Unit and connect the IR Blaster cable from the back of the Sender Unit to the Hi-Def source. Connect the RS-232 controller to the Sender Unit using the included RS-232 serial cable. Connect the RS-232 device to the Receiver Unit using an RS-232 serial cable. Connect the power cord from the Sender Unit to an available electrical outlet. The power connector on the Receiver Unit can be used to power an additional Gefen product.
