The VR4GBPro is a professional grade telephone and cell phone voice recording device. Cell phone recording is easy via the Bluetooth sync capabilities. This device even includes dual microphones and noise reduction for crisp and clear audio recording. Plug into a wall jack and pick the recording quality mode that suits the situation. Set it to automatically answer, and you can go about your day or listen in with the included earphones. Manage the trade-off between quality and recording time when choosing between extra high quality (SHQ), high quality (HQ), standard quality (SP), and long play (LP). The long play mode can store up to 283 hours (a bit longer than 11 days) on the 4GB internal storage. Battery life lasts up to 15 hours. Use the forward and backward button to cycle through the different menus IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow the device to charge 4 – 6 hours before using. HOW TO CHARGE THE VOICE RECORDER PRO Using the AC Adapter 1. Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the recorder 2. Plug the USB cable into the AC adapter 3. Plug the AC adapter into a power outlet • The power indicator will blink while charging • The power indicator will stop blinking when fully charged Using Your PC 1. Plug the USB cable into the USB port on the recorder 2. Plug the USB cable into the USB jack on your PC • The power indicator will blink while charging • The power indicator will stop blinking when fully charged HOW TO TURN ON THE VOICE RECORDER PRO 1. Slide the power switch into the ON position • The screen will light up and cycle through starting, welcome, and initializing • If there is no activity for 2 minutes, the recorder will go to sleep o Push the Play/Stop button to wake the recorder up again HOW TO TURN OFF THE VOICE RECORDER PRO 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the System Time screen 2. Press the Mode button to confirm the selection 3. Use the forward and backward button to select the information you want to adjust • The date is Year-Month-Day • The time is military format 4. Use the volume up and down buttons to change the information 5. Press the Mode button to return to the main menu HOW TO ADJUST THE SETTINGS 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the System Time screen 2. Press the Mode button to confirm the selection Backlight • The backlight will turn off automatically according to this setting 1. Press the Mode button to select backlight 2. Use the forward and backward buttons to choose between 0– 60 seconds (5-second intervals) 3. Push the Mode button to confirm and go back to Setting Mode Lanuage 1. Use the backward button to highlight language 2. Press the Mode button to select lanuage 3. Use the forward and backward button to choose your language (English is the default) 4. Push the Mode button to confirm and go back to Setting Mode Power Off • The recorder will power down automatically according to this setting 1. Use the backward button to highlight power off 2. Press the Mode button to select power off 3. Use the forward and backward button to choose between 0– 60 minutes 4. Press the Mode button to select auto record 3. Press the Mode button to turn auto record on or off 4. Use the backward button to highlight Record Cycle 5. Press the Play/Stop button to go back to Auto Record 7. Use the backward button to highlight Record Time 8. Press the Mode button to select Record Time • Use the forward and backward button to select the information you want to adjust • Use the volume up and down buttons to adjust the time information • Press the Mode button to confirm and return to the menu HELPFUL TIP: The device will automatically record during the time and date you set up using Record Cycle and Record Time HOW TO USE RECORD MODE 1. Select the necessary recording type on the recorder 6. Push the Record button HOW TO USE BLUETOOTH MODE 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the Bluetooth Mode screen 2. Turn on the Bluetooth on the recorder 2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile phone • Your phone will search for Bluetooth devices • The voice recorder pro will show up as Recorder • Connect with the Recorder • If a password in required, type in 0000 Mobile phone answering and redialing 1. Push the Mobile Phone button on the recroder to answer your phone when it rings 2. Push and hold the Mobile Phone button on the recorder for about 5 seconds to call back the last person with whom you spoke • You can listen with the earphones during this time Record mobile phone conversations 1. Push the Record button to start recording the conversation 2. Push the Play / Stop button to pause and restart the recording if desired 3. Push the Record button to stop and save the recording • All Bluetooth recordings are automatically saved to the D folder HOW TO USE VOICE MODE 1. Cycle through the main menu until you reach the Bluetooth Mode screen 2. Push the Play / Stop button to play the file Delete a file 1. Push the Mode button 2. Select Delete file 3. Use the backward and forward buttons to select either Yes or No 4. Push the Mode button to confirm deletion RETRIEVE THE FILES TO YOUR PC 1. Plug the device into your PC using the USB cable 2. Locate “Removable Disk” inside the (My) Computer folder • AutoPlay Removable Disk > Open folder to view files Or… • Go to Start > Computer > Removable Disk 3. Open the Removable Disk drive 4. Double click the file you want to view • VLC Player is recommended for watching videos TROUBLESHOOTING SPECIFICATIONS THE DEVICE WON’T TURN ON • Charge the device for at least 4 hours before the first use. • Make sure the charging cable is securely inserted into the device and into the power source.
