If the circle in the reticule approaches an edge, this is automatically recognized by the image processing. The color of the circle changes from red to green. After measuring a minimum number of points (3 for circle measurement) a pre-defined number from measuring points are recognized automatically to calculate a circle. With the automatic edge recognition even lowcontrast workpieces can be measured, this can simply be conducted by pressing "Touch" on the edge of the feature. Use the Multi Touch function for quick and continuous variable magnification of an object using either your finger on the touchscreen or with a mouse. Optical Measuring Instruments 35 Measurement Simple operation: • Put insert on the measuring table • Define coordinate system (zero point) • Start measurement The basis of the measurement is a nominal contour in dxf-format. By a large field optics with highest image quality 2D geometries with a diagonal dimension up to 55 mm are captured by camera and evaluated. A coordinate table for the MarVision CM 50 is not necessary. By the extraordinary large depth of sharpness of the lenses the thickness of the inserts plays a minor role – the time consuming and error-prone focusing is not necessary. Therefore also inserts with different heights of cutting edges can be measured without any difficulty. The high resolution CCD camera combined with the large field optics provides accurate and repeatable measurement results. Freely definable tolerance zones for all segments allow a clear presentation of dimensional stability – even of complex geometries of cutting edges. All deviations can be seen at a glance. This makes the setup procedure of grinding machines much easier. With the software HAWK.CM Professional dimensional evaluations are realized.
