REPLACING THE MASSAGE MECHANISM
To ensure that Human Touch® products are repaired in a manner that is fully consistent with the practices used during the manufacturing process, Human Touch requires that all product repairs are performed using only factory-new parts and in accordance with these product repair instructions.
SERVICE LEVEL: 2
Tools Required: Phillips-head screwdriver (preferably power), new zip ties, instrument suitable for cutting zip ties. SAVE ALL REMOVED PARTS FOR USE DURING REASSEMBLY
REMOVING THE MASSAGE MECHANISM Massage mechanism
1. Power off the chair then unplug it. 2. Lift up the upholstered flap on the front of the backrest, cut the zip tie that secures the backrest zippers, then open the zippers. (Fig.1). 3. The upholstered tongue is secured by a second set of zippers, located behind the zipper you just opened. Locate the zipper handles

at the bottom of each side of the backrest, then pull each zipper up to detach the upholstered tongue from the chair (Fig.2).
4. Gently tip the chair forward, resting the headrest on the floor. 5. Locate the zipper in the lower left-hand corner of the backrest. This zipper does not have a handle (Fig.3). 6. Hook a paper clip through the loop on the top of the zipper, push the zipper through to the front of the chair, return the chair to an upright position,
then open the zipper to expose the massage mechanism (Fig.3).

Reconnect the four massage mechanism connectors to the corresponding connectors in the backrest, then secure the connectors using new zip ties. (Fig.6). 3. Insert the ground wire screw through the ring at the end of the yellow ground wire, insert the screw into the corresponding hole in the chair frame, then use a flat-head
screwdriver to tighten the screw, securing the ground wire to the chair frame. (Fig.6).
4. Close the zipper to cover the massage mechanism. 5. Reattach the upholstered tongue to the backrest by threading and closing both sets of zippers.
A. Attach the inside zippers, then pull downward as far as they will go (Fig.7).
B. Attach and close the outside zippers, starting with the left-hand side (as you’re facing the chair) (Fig.8).
HINT: Have someone pull the seat pad forward, away from the zippers, to provide more clearance
