(QUARTZ) CAN CAUSE SILICOSIS, A FIBROSIS (SCARRING) OF THE LUNGS. SILICOSIS MA Y BE PROGRESSIVE; IT MA Y LEAD TO DISABILITY AND DEATH. CANCER: CRYSTALLINE SILICA (QUARTZ) INHALED FROM OCCUPATIONAL SOURCES IS CLASSIFIED AS CARCINOGENIC TO HUMANS. SCLERODERMA: THERE IS EVIDENCE THAT EXPOSURE TO RESPIRABLE CRYSTALLINE SILICA OR THAT THE DISEASE SILICOSIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE INCREASED INCIDENCE OF LERODERMA, AN AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER MANIFESTED BY A FIBROSIS (SCARRING) OF THE SKIN AND INTERNAL ORGANS. TUBERCULOSIS: SILICOSIS INCREASES THE RISK OF TUBERCULOSIS. NEPHROTOXICITY: THERE ARE SEVERAL STUDIES SUGGESTING THAT EXPOSURE TO ESPIRABLE CRYSTALLINE SILICA OR THAT THE DISEASE SILICOSIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE INCREASED INCIDENCE OF KIDNEY DISORDERS. NO EFFECT NO EFFECT NO EFFECT NO EFFECT
NO EFFECT THE ADVERSE HEALTH EFFECTS -- SILICOSIS, SCLERODERMA, TUBERCULOSIS, AND CHRONIC EFFECTS NEPHROTOXICITY -- ARE CHRONIC EFFECTS. THERE ARE GENERALLY NO SIGNS SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE TO CRYSTALLINE SILICA (QUARTZ). OFTEN, CHRONIC SILICOSIS HAS NO SYMPTOMS. THE SYMPTOMS CHRONIC SILICOSIS, IF PRESENT, ARE SHORTNESS OF BREATH, WHEEZING, COUGH AND SPUTUM PRODUCTION. THE SYMPTOMS OF ACUTE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS SILICOSIS ARE THE SAME; ADDITIONALL Y, WEIGHT OF EXPOSURE LOSS AND FEVER ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACUTE SILICOSIS. THE SYMPTOMS OF SCLERODERMA INCLUDE THICKENING AND STIFFNESS OF THE SKIN, PARTICULARL Y IN THE FINGERS, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, DIFFICULTY SWALLOWING AND JOINT PROBLEMS. THE CONDITION OF INDIVIDUALS WITH LUNG DISEASE MEDICAL CONDITIONS (E.G.: BRONCHITIS, EMPHYSEMA, OR CHRONIC GENERALLY OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE) CAN BE AGGRAVATED BY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE. EXPOSURE STANDARD ANIMAL TOXICITY VALUES ARE NOT AVAILABLE. 3
PREVENTATIVE MEASURES Use local exhaust to control dust dispersion. For respirator protection, use an air supplied respirator or other conventional particulate respirator protection based on considerations of airborne concentrations and duration of exposure. For more information consult the following standards. 1. 2. 3.
American National Standard Institute (ANSI 2.88.2) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA -29CFR Part 1910.134) Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA - 30CFR Part 56)
Safety glasses should be worn to prevent dust in eyes. Waste disposal: In case of spill, vacuum spillage and dispose of in containers or slurry to avoid re-dispersion. Storage requirement: None Special shipping information: None FIRST AID MEASURES EYE CONTACT: SKIN CONTACT: INGESTION: INHALATION:
A WATER WASH WILL REMOVE PARTICLES. IF IRRITATION PERSISTS CONTACT PHYSICIAN. A WATER WASH WILL REMOVE PARTICLES. NONE REMOVE FROM CONTAMINATED AREA. IF SHORTNESS OF BREATH OR OTHER BREATHING PROBLEM PERSISTS, CONSULT A PHYSICIAN.

LANE MOUNTAIN INFORMATION:
There is approximately 1 114Tons per Cubic Yard. The hardness factor is 7.6 on a scale of 10. Specific gravity of this sand is 2.2 - 2.5. This sand is angular. Due to circumstances beyond our control there will be some variation as to screen and chemical analysis from time to time, because of mechanical processes and because of Mother Nature. Therefore, we make no warranty implied or otherwise as to any specific use of this sand.
